Jobber Help
I'm having some trouble with a jobber character of mine. He always loses but he also wins 95% of his grapples and reverses a ton more than he should. I can't seem to find the area I need to tweak to put a stop to this. I tried giving him high ukemi, I tried mismatching his style, and I gave him crap moves. His skills are the worst and his parameters are set to zero. I even started with DJKM77's jobber template (I might have changed something crucial tinkering with it).He doesn't make a comeback because he never really loses control of the match. He acts like he's toying with whoever I put him up against and it's annoying me.

Try changing the % of the small damage, make him go for Big moves early in the match, he will get his ass countered.

Does it matter if he has crap moves in the big move slots?

If he's losing he's jobbing - i dont know why its annoying you. i'd find that very amusing : a jobber that pretends he can actually squash someone.

Maybe play around with his logic parameters (Showmanship, Discretion, etc.) using the above guide to get him closer to the behavior you want?

Reading another thread on here, it sounds like using a really high first or second ukemi setting (50+) might help? Basically you would need him to sell for too long and get beat before he makes his comeback, if I'm understanding the setting and your goal correctly. I'm not sure if that's different than the high ukemi you've tried but their example was Hogan being 20/30/10 so he would take a beating in the middle of the match. Maybe try all 100's?

You should also try to make him use D and E move affinities (set his style to something you can live with that makes him have mostly D and E moves). IIRC, that sucks the air out of him quickly and makes it more likely he will be beaten. At least that's how I understand it. He might still win grapples, but at least he would punch himself out more quickly.

I'd say set his Ukemi in the AI to around 90-95. That way he'll take nearly every move done to him and only reverse once or twice in the match (even jobbers usually get a little offense in). Also set Showman and Discression really low. Probably no more than 10 in either category.

There really isn't a way to keep a wrestler from attempting to grapple if he gets caught in one that I know of. If his parameters are weak it won't help him much, anyway.

As far as making the winning wrestler win faster, you'd have to edit his AI and maybe even his parameters to go for big moves fater and deal more damage quickly. Another option is to make sure his has a move that can Critical and set the Critical Rate to High.

Ukemi will have utterly no effect on your stronger edits' grapple winning. I would suggest trying the following: Merely set all of your strong grapples edit points in parameter to four or less. If that sounds counterintuitive, it is. No I'm not joking. I'm being completely serious. It seems that every time I pick up this game, my strong edits are losing almost all of their grapples, regardless of whether they even win or lose the actual match.

Only thing to do is sit on your thumbs and wait for a fix. Only there probably won't be a fix because most of the community is so wrapped up in this idea of "FINALLY A NEW FPR GAME" no one will even acknowledge it's a problem.

Again, I wish I was kidding, but I'm not.

Did you actually read his post? He said his jobber loses, but still wins most grapples. Imagine if Barry Horowitz went to Bret Hart circa 1995 and told him, "Bret, you're winning the match, but I'm getting in all of my moves."

Jobber edit grapple spamming is as stupid as it sounds.

Take off some of his moves. He don't need a full set of moves... also don't give him any counters and submission moves I would assume

Try setting flexibility to 0, if you hadn't already. When flexibiility is high, the edit will avoid moves that won't work, such as irish whip against MMA style, and do more moves that will work.
