What's the kick out mechanic?

hold MED. If your wrestler has the stamina to do it, they'll kick out of a pin automatically.

Thanks. I saw in the quick tips someone recommending mashing as well. Is there a difference that has to do with spirit?

The only difference I could tell in R was that if you're playing at higher levels, say eight or above, you'd want to hold it rather than mash, because the rate you'd have to mash to kick out of anything past the ten minute mark would be ungodly.

Are you sure? I wiggle the left analog around and press A and it's worked every single time for me.

Mashing buttons is basically useless in this game.

To kick out of a pin, you need to press X as quickly as possible. Holding X will kick you out of a pin, but only to a certain extent. There's many occasions where holding the button won't be enough.

Except when you get into strike exchanges. Manual even says that. And FPR had mashing on pins.

I was just about to say its on page 51 of the game manual. Not the pdf page but the actual manual page.

So we should mash x to kick out? Is that the concensus?
Cason Jul 16, 2017 @ 6:53pm
It says so in the manual so you should unless the manual is wrong and there is no way to really tell unless the dev just says so. Also it seems to work as well so theres that.

Yes, X as fast as possibly is the best way to kick out. Holding X does work, but only to a certain point.

According to Jason Blackhart who has watched RAM in debugger, this is because a wrestler will kick out when X is pressed when he has a certain amount of HP(when he kicks out depends how much HP is left), and HP will recover by 1 point per frame at all times, but when being pinned, every time X is pressed, another small amount of HP is also recovered.
