Over the Top Rope?

So how can you throw someone over the top rope in a royal rumble? I've seen the AI do it but when i try it they just throw them through the the second and third ropes so it doesn't eliminate the guy.

You need to tire them out more before trying it and don't be too far away from the ropes.

If you're using a controller, it's R1 and the Run button (Y on Xbox, Triangle on Playstation) at the same time while grappling. That will try to throw them over the top instead of between.

make sure you have worn them down enough, think of it as executing your Signature move, you dont have to be right against the ropes, it will automatically take them to the ropes, if they land on the apron you did it correctly they just aren't ready yet.
Make sure you press RB and Run at the exact same time with a direction to the ropes I find helps.

If you mean in Mission Mode, you just have to throw the last opponent over the top rope, you can pin/submit/KO the other 6 guys if you'd like.

Also, just to add for anyone with a similar problem as me, I use a 360 controller and I seem to have trouble consistently pressing RB + Y at the same time, so I've found it easier to use the keyboard (S + D, iirc)

no i meant how do you do a timed royal rumble without having pin on...or you can't
