New to the series: how easy to import NJPW rosters, other CAWs etc?
I've been looking for a game in which to basically use other people's creations -- I'm terrible at making CAWs etc. I'm just wondering how easy it will be to and how large the community will be for this game -- would you expect a ton of available CAWs to import?

thanks for any info

It's tough to say for sure how big the community will be since a Fire Pro game has never been on Steam but I'd be willing to bet it won't be difficult to find good Steam workshop downloads for any big-name mainstream or indie wrestlers you can think of including anyone you'd want from New Japan. I'm guessing the Okadas, Omegas, and Tanahashis of the world will be out there on day 1 and then the midcard/lowcard guys won't be too long after that.

Now I need to commission someone to recreate the Stampede Wrestling roster from Calgary, 1988 or so.....!

You will be able to find NJPW wrestlers easy in the workshop (in my opinion)

definitely will have a good amount of players focused on different promotions.

Im going to be focused on Joshi Promotions at beginning (Tokyo Joshi Pro, Stardom, Ice Ribbon,Sendai Girls, etc.
During the process creating my female roster, I will create some NJPW, DDT, Dragon Gate and ROH Wrestlers.

I expect to find good CAW from wrestlers that I want on my roster to reduce my working time creating a wrestler myself.

If a lot of the basics from Returns are in World, I can see people porting over old content and sprucing it up, so it won't take too long.

I imagine people will absolutely be doing WWE and NJPW rosters out of the gate, as those are the two largest wrestling promotions at the moment. I do wonder how long it will take to have current rosters of other promotions, like AJPW which uses a lot of freelancers, Dragon Gate which has stable resets every other day, and most of all CMLL which, to my knowledge, has the largest roster of active talent of any "major" wrestling promotion, many of which weren't even made for Returns.

I would hope a new game and an easier distribution platform means faster content releases, too. For example, I can totally imagine people making UFC fighters days after a UFC event if they weren't already made. Triply so for wrestlers.

Just give it time. Once the current gen wrestlers get done and tweaked, then you'll get the golden years. My favoritre 80s- 90s AJPW,80s-90s NJPW, Early 2000s Noah, I also like the Indy Feds like Stampede, Old ECW,Michinoku Pro ect as well as deathmatch type indy feds IWA,FMW ect.

I'm good at movesets and A.I tweaking for my fed but everytime I make a classic guy, I find someone else who made a way better version of them from the fire pro community.

I can hands down promise if the Steam Workshop is open you will see Joe Doering and Daisuke Sekimoto. My plan is to create the rosters of CZW, WSU, BJW, FMW, and AJPW. I will include alumni as well. After that, I'm only making my original edits.

The bare essentials are WWE 1997 thru 2000. Rock, Mankind, Stone Cold, and all. With leeway back to the 80s or so.

I hardly care about foreign promotions or modern stars. Let's just say choice descriptors for the Invasion storyline writers are not fit for polite company!

Are you doing the current state of those promotions, a particular period, or a kind of "then an now" approach to the rosters there?

You can also check out other Fire Pro World Forums. The Fire Pro Club is a good one to follow. They have a variety of CAW makers doing all kinds of different promotions and time periods. Stampede Wrestling was in the earlier fire pro games as community packs so I can definitely see all the new and old indy promotions being made.

I plan on doing the current rosters first. Then I plan on adding historial rosters with alumni from previous years. I put together a spreadsheet to organize it.

It might take a week or so for a lot of known wrestlers to get made and put up on the workshop. Maybe a little longer for more obscure ones. Of course, this all depends on how passionate the FPW base here on Steam is.

Sounds like you planned out this project.

I do wish you luck, friend. I'm mostly interested in the "major" promotions, but you seem to be building up a good deathmatch roster for the game as well, and that will likely benefit the deathmatch match types.

I'll likely look into what you produce for AJPW, BJW, and CZW. Good luck! :)

Thanks, I'm looking forward to sharing.
I would expect to see full rosters for many eras and promotions within just a few weeks of release. The Fire Pro Community is awesome and I'm already seeing that enthusiasm carrying over to PC.

I feel like everyone has forgotten that FPW always comes with a pretty fleshed out real roster as the default save. All you'll need to do is rename them. The rosters are usually up to date at the time of release so I'd be shocked if we didn't get a full stock of Olive Japan (New Japan) wrestlers.

Unless there;s some information I missed and they only plan on releasing with generic wrestlers for the first time ever.
