Now, create-a-strike combo* on the other hand..
(*strong grapple, 3-6 hit. No need to get ridiculous)
Sooner or later, the developers will finish working on this game and move onto something else.
In ten years, you don't think some highspot monkey will have invented something new that isn't already in the game? We NEED a create-a-move.
I don't care about a 100 frame corkscrew 720 burning hammer if I can block the idiot who uses it so I don't have to play with him again. I can deal with fools but despise limits on my creativity.
On that note, the ability to avoid players would be great.
This way we can create any move. I also like create a Strike combo. Good idea too.
One thing they said was they converted the partial animations and parts from the old fire pro to the new engine. So that means that there are lift animations, drop animations ect not just full move animations. So if spike/chunsoft can implement this into a User interface, then It's definitely possible.
The only thing is that this is a low budget game. We can't expect this game to have more features then high budget games. Also , I've never seen a create a move feature in a 2d game. Maybe there's a reason it never was done.
Funnily enough, ten years after FPWR, Spike Chunsoft are releasing FPWW..
I don't know why you went with the weak argument of highspot monkey mythical non-existant moves, when several existing ones aren't in the moveset list. Undertaker's original Tombstone (with the over/underhook), Kana's (Asuka) billiken into pinfall on a seated opponent, Sid's squeegee..
I think Spike-Chunsoft mentioned once it takes about two weeks to create a new move, and that's with professional sprite animators doing it. I know move creation is something people really want, but considering how lucrative sprite based animation is, I would hate to see the workshop filled with dozens of wonky and broken 'attempts' at moves. Also moves have to be properly mapped into the game engine and I definitely cannot see the community at large doing this without completely breaking it.
What Spike-Chunsoft should do is every month offer a poll on their website. Have a list of moves people have been asking for, and whatever move gets the most votes that month gets animated and added into the game.
