The Eruptor

Despite the recent buff to it, this gun still feels really bad. The handling, awful rate of fire, slow bullet velocity and mediocre damage make it extremely unfun to use. The crossbow does everything the eruptor does but better - has better ROF, is onehanded, faster reload better handling...

It really needs yet another touchup to make it viable. Maybe give it same flak explosion the autocannon has just without proxy fuse or something.

The stats need to be brought back to a similar point as they were before they tried to rework the weapon.

Well, I've got a bajillion hours and I say it's good.

So if the gun is good, what would be the thing in this equation that's bad...?

Also, no, the crossbow doesn't smash whole groups of enemies in one shot haha

how about being able to switch the ammo-type between normal and flak like the autocannon?

It also doesn't really punch hard enough to get rid of mediums + not good enough for getting rid of small enemies in comparison to the slow rof and bad handling.

also giving us a 200 metre scope for sniping and the rockets exploding mid-air when they pass a certain distance(around 200 metres) is a big bummer.

to destroy a broadcasting tower you need about 5-7 shots whereas with the crossbow you just need 1-2 shots which is also annoying.

it's underperforming compared to crossbow or purifier. it needs to one shot alpha commanders on headshots reliably given the ROF , reload time and handling, giving it some alternate ammo could be a good starting point too. maybe incendiary ammo ? rework the shrapnel so its more a conical spread instead going in every direction ?

I just blocked him, I recommend doing the same. I have zero patience for dealing with idiots like that at this point.

I don't want this to be true - because if a 200 metre scope is mounted on a weapon whose projectiles don't even fly that far i am gonna have to start questioning certain things o.0

im fairly sure they dont go past 150m but its been a while since i used the eruptor. mostly because it hasnt been worth the frustration of using since it got changed all the way back.

ultra clunky, slow firing, high chance of accidentally commiting sudoku. all for pretty underwhelming dmg per shot. and horrbile dps.
blowing up devestators by shooting them in the balls was the main reason i ran it. that and alright swarm clear if enemies were clumped up enough.

"The effective range of this weapon is 125 meters. If the bullet travels beyond its effective range, it will explode in midair before impacting a target. Targets beyond 125 meters might be damaged due to the projectile prematurely exploding."

You do know the Eruptor is far stronger now than it was before, aside from the shrapnel, which was the Airburst Strat shrapnel instead of the grenade shrapnel.

The cycling and especially the reload needs to be sped up. Per-shot, I think it's actually alright, but almost everything else about it needs work.
