Pelican taking off with one Helldiver
Am I missing something? Some mechanic?

There's been multiple instances where a full squad of us have been waiting for evac. Then as soon as one person loads onto the Pelican, it takes off immediately, leaving everyone behind. It doesn't matter if someone is immediately behind them on the ramp; they get left behind too. Frustrating to lose out on samples this way.

Was the evac timer up? Pelican only stays landed for a bit and will 100% leave you behind even if you're under it.

Happened once to me so far, one guy got on and then instant game over with only him extracting.

No. It always triggers when one person gets on. We had plenty of time to work with on the last run we had.

I think there's some bug/hidden timer. Happened to me too where we had like 10 minutes left. The pelican landed but no one got in for a really long time.

I think once someone gets on board you only have like 20 seconds before it leaves.

This is not what they're saying nor the issue. This has been happening recently since the newest patch to my team when the shuttle arrives and everyone is ready to leave in the timely matter and when one person gets in - it just takes off. I had this happen to me when I was right behind my buddy and seemingly got in only for it to take off and I got left behind despite being right behind them.

So it takes off immediately?
Weird, I played a lot today and it didn't happen once.

Yes precisely what I'm and OP is saying. We were doing fine with the extract even after recent patch then it just started consistently taking off immediately from then on.

I haven't seen instant evacs like that. In my experience, when the timer hits 0 on the mission, you only have 20 seconds to evac.
The second scenario is when you have however much mission time left, and one guy gets on the evac. Then, you and the others only have 20 seconds until it leaves.
Personally, if I'm hosting, and haven't called evac, and a random decides to call in evac without asking, while his squad is across the map, I'm going to kick that particular random.
Why?
Because then the evac will abort, and we can call it again, without potentially leaving soldiers behind. The exception would be if the random calls in evac with only <3 minutes left on the mission timer. That's understandable.

It was. Two options, or the pelican takes off when there is at least one passenger in it and a titan has reached the pelican.
Or is it a timer bug. If you didn’t know, your timers with your teammates may be hiddenly out of sync, this is easy to notice when calling bullets.

yesterday (before I receive the patch today, didn't try yet) I played couple of missions everything was normal except when the pelican touches the ground it just disappears, in another mission one member could get in but the rest couldn't see it, also sometimes it just starts to roll in random directions in the air while flying away like it got blown away by an explosion, the count down was there like normal but we just couldn't get in.

Yeah I have seen this bug before, my favorite one so far when I encountered this bug, was when the pelican landed and then instantly left even though we were all sitting there waiting. My best guess to why that happened would be that we called the extract in when we had 4 minutes and 6 seconds left and had to defend for 4 minutes. Maybe the call in the pelican trigger caused him to take off. This was 2 patches ago.

Never happened to me.
Even had 2 extra seconds to extract once the Pelican timer reached zero the other day.
Good thing cause I was rushing back with Super Samples.

Ok, I'm glad that I'm not the only one! I was in a game with a friend and two randos, and when I got on the Pelican it simply took off with just me; plenty of time left on the timer. Like the other people didn't even have a chance to board once I got on.

Then the salty randos kicked me like it was my fault. Like did they think I somehow just told the pilot to leave immediately?
