PYRO Minefields, are some players not aware of what is around them ?
They are so easy to see but the amount of times i see players just walk right onto a mine is ridiculous.

I wouldn't say it's easy, sometimes those mines almost complete submerge into the ground.

Some areas of the map have bad brush work to graphics like the SEAF artillery and mines are under the ground and not visible. So around bug hives and some rock formations the mines disappear.
They work well around objectives, but as always communicating with team mates is the key... if you're not on voice and dropping anything but weapons: you could kill teammates.

I mean on the minefield stratagem, they stand out easily, but i still see many walk right into them.
I have seen some watch a minefield get dispersed and then STILL end up walking onto one.

in snow they are often invisible under the snow XD.

but to be entirely honest. most of my mine field related death, are when walking backward and firing.

more like the reason why people die to minefield is because they are backing up from something and not know there is minefield behind em

you can't clearly see them on those foggy and dusty planets especially if you're running from hordes

Some ppl are focusing on small mobs and back peddling and not looking where they are going... some planets you can pull this off other have ice crystals and exploding glass flowers and punish you for it.

I walked into it an embarrassingly amount of times. These mines are doing their job pretty well.

Oh you mean OUR mines? never seen one use it.

I've had minefields bug out where I can't see them at all. I think it has something to do with joining into a game after they're already set on the ground.

I once joined a game and got blown up by them twice in a row because they were completely invisible. The other players probably thought I was a complete moron.

Yea got killed by them. I even saw them being called in but in the heat of the moment. Boom

This. I'm pretty good as looking around me but there are times where I've stepped on a landmine that was nearly impossible to see. Especially in snow maps.
Codesterz Mar 3, 2024 @ 10:50am
I don't have eyes on the back of my head. There I am shooting a horde of bugs in front of me while walking backwards then boom(mine) I'm dead. I get reinforced and run back to get my stuff. I weave the mines and go to pick up my backpack then boom there was a mine under the backpack that I couldn't see and I'm dead again. Since that day I have hated mines. They are more likely to kill team mates than bugs.

Sometimes, they are LITERALLY in the ground and no one knows they are there until one explodes. Just like real land mines. Go figure, huh? Not fun, but then again, real ones are not fun either.

I do think they need to be more visible to teammates, but even if they are? You will always get at least one guy who doesn't bother looking where he puts his feet.

The fact landmines are buggy as ♥♥♥♥ and also an enemy corpse will not set them off either, is why I don't bring mines. Not because "Whaa whaa idiot players with bad eyes" making excuses for poor polish.

I see somebody shooting mines to clear a path to somebody's dropped samples, killed by magical invisible mines or hidden under the remaining ass crack of a bug? Yeah that dev's having skill issues, not the player base.

Warn people they are buggy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you want less mines users. Because trying to present it as "These damned bad players bad at mines" will convince people them that common sense will solve the problems with mines, and you will keep crying about it forever.
