They work well around objectives, but as always communicating with team mates is the key... if you're not on voice and dropping anything but weapons: you could kill teammates.
I mean on the minefield stratagem, they stand out easily, but i still see many walk right into them.
I have seen some watch a minefield get dispersed and then STILL end up walking onto one.
but to be entirely honest. most of my mine field related death, are when walking backward and firing.
If only , i have seen so many times players walk forward into the field when they have just see it get dispersed right in front of them.
Ill try and get some screenshots in future.
Some ppl are focusing on small mobs and back peddling and not looking where they are going... some planets you can pull this off other have ice crystals and exploding glass flowers and punish you for it.
Oh you mean OUR mines? never seen one use it.
I once joined a game and got blown up by them twice in a row because they were completely invisible. The other players probably thought I was a complete moron.
This. I'm pretty good as looking around me but there are times where I've stepped on a landmine that was nearly impossible to see. Especially in snow maps.
Sometimes, they are LITERALLY in the ground and no one knows they are there until one explodes. Just like real land mines. Go figure, huh? Not fun, but then again, real ones are not fun either.
I do think they need to be more visible to teammates, but even if they are? You will always get at least one guy who doesn't bother looking where he puts his feet.
I see somebody shooting mines to clear a path to somebody's dropped samples, killed by magical invisible mines or hidden under the remaining ass crack of a bug? Yeah that dev's having skill issues, not the player base.
Warn people they are buggy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you want less mines users. Because trying to present it as "These damned bad players bad at mines" will convince people them that common sense will solve the problems with mines, and you will keep crying about it forever.
