Translating text isn't needed for any puzzles
People keep saying you need to translate the text to complete some puzzles. But i've done all fairy puzzles, and beaten the final boss. Just missing the door in the mountains, and a few secret treasures It's true that translating the text gives you more hints. But the visuals alone are enough. Page 23 gave me all the info i needed for the plaque under the directional statue thing It is more annoying to search for things as well as you have no idea what things on page 48 are. But i've done it so far. Anyone else here who've done the puzzles without looking anything up or translating the manual?
PS. I know how to open the mountain door. Just haven't put the pieces together yet. Probably will this weekend. Tho i have few other puzzles i may complete first. The chimes outside the old red house, and the puzzle about the (Ice+Fire)+Hookshot thing with the slime on the cliff. Plus the graveyard 4xSkull thing. The current secret treasures i have are: #1: Mr Mayor, #3: Sacred Geometry , #7: Spring Falls, #9: Back to Work

Having read the fan translated book and translated all of the NPC screenshots I took myself (using the fan created lookup table): Pretty sure it's possible to get the good / true ending without knowing the language. If you get the bad ending you already know exactly what is required to get the good ending. The only thing you'd be missing is that you don't need to 100% the game.

Yup. There is only one instance where I considered translating. The "pattern" and visual clues close to what I was looking at, plus an ingame form of guidance, helped me to indicate *what* it was I was looking for, Then, it was just a matter of referring to some very clearly-indicated manual pages to translate what I needed.

To be specific, this was to translate the directions on the weathervane chest, which gives sixteen characters of N/E/S/W directions, in sets of four. A page in the book has a compass to help.

The puzzle on page 1 is something I found impossible even with it being translated, so I have no idea how you'd complete it without translating it.

Yes, except for one secret treasure (the one of Page 1); you can pretty much solve everything else in the game with only visual / auditory clues, and corresponding deductions.

That's what I, and a friend did; we did not look up anything. We have even cracked the whole language ourselves. Our approach was --we noticed that the credit roll after the good ending has designations in the "TUNIC" language, but whereas the designations after the bad ending are in plain English. This was our bootstrap point and gave us about ~50% of the key (we deduced it comparing the designations' text to the glyphs on page 54, and the corresponding sounds using a phonemic chart); the rest of it was deduced using trial-and-error.

There is also the secret treasure chest you get from solving the puzzle on the back cover of the manual (which requires translation), but it's not linked to an achievement or a unique item.

I personally used the location names on page 23 as my basis for most of it, as most of them are pretty clear based on word length (like "monastery", "library", "garden" and "swamp".)

Translating the cardinal directions actually doesn't work all that well, because they're not actually the full words North/South/East/West. However, you can match the symbols for the weather vane puzzle without translating them.

So wait - are the glyphs in the manual in english and not translated to other laungages if I pick other one?

Becouse I looked on the english and polish manuals and glyphs are the same.

Yeah, it's phonetic English. So if you are not an English-speaker you cannot solve all riddles in this game, even if you set the game to your language.
Even if you know English as a second language, you might find it really difficult to understand which words the transliterated sounds actually are. For example, the word "SWORD" is actually written in glyphs as "SOD".

Talking about this, it would be cool if there was a secret accessibility option that could translate all the texts in the manual and the world.
I solved the glyphs system, and can quite understand the texts (I'm french, so sometimes it's hard because of these "misspelled" words).
But at a certain point I get bored to look at the glyph tables to read 3 words here, 5 there, etc. -_-

I spoiled myself on the fan translated manual a bit earlier than i should have due to not seeing a clear Rosetta Stone to start from.

You can easily find E.G. https://old.reddit.com/r/TunicGame/comments/tni2et/tunic_secret_legend_instruction_booklet_4k/ A full spoiler and translated fan translation of the in game manual.

I solved everything without translating anything, but when I realized the nature of the mountain door, fairies, and secret treasures, I looked them up in guides because I didn't want to do a game-wide scavenger hunt.
