Beginner's Guide?

Hi New to DRG.

I wanna ask if there's a completed Beginner's guide so I know how to unlock Scout weapons and perks. Thanks!

There's really nothing to it. Play the game to level up and unlock new upgrades for your weapons, and new assignments to unlock new weapons. There's a perk screen in your dwarf's room where you can see what actions grant perk points. At the beginning, doing pretty much anything will grant you perk points.

It's from a year ago, but it'll help you anyway.

Just keep playing Scout. You'll get weapon assignments when you reach level 10, 15 and 20.

For perk points, try playing different missions and different classes. Maybe buy some cheap weapon mods and cosmetics even if you don't need them.

And just so you know, there are far more perk points then perks to send them all, I have all the perks, and somewhere around 170 perk points to spend xD

But you can see your progress at the terminal and see how many missions of what type etc.

Early on, variety will help you a lot do different mission types, and look for extra hazards like cave leech clusters (there are perks for doing X amount of every mission type and haz modifier)

As long as you remember to fire flares fairly regularly as a Scout whenever you feel like your team needs light to loot or to shoot and you avoid hitting buttons without your teammates generally agreeing they are ready, Deep Rock is otherwise excellent at teaching you what you need to know to play. There aren't any goofy weird tricks like in KF or other games.

Scout is hardest class to master but once you got really good all other classes will be much easier to play because you are weak with weapons so you learn basics of the game like how to use space around you and how to move quickly away from enemies. Scout main mission is to light space around the team and collect minerals in places where other team members cant go.

Question on the Scout's first Rifle

There's a perk where you get 100% Accuracy on the first shot. Is there a cooldown to it or do I just Tap Fire (aka Alternator Tap Fire) to keep proccing the perk?

No cooldown. If you wait between each shot, the accuracy will go back to 100%.

No cooldown. If you wait between each shot, the accuracy will go back to 100%.

So basically I just have to wait for the crosshair to reset back to normal then fire again?

As I understand it, it basically just makes the AR's spread 0 to start with, so yes; if your crosshair has stabilized you should be good to go.
