Annoying EPIC web login with every game boot

Everytime I boot the game I get an EPIC web login page, and then every hour I get a message "Generic Login Failure...." with error :unknown (unknown (EOS_Auth_PinGrantExpired))".

I don't want to login to EPIC, please make this go away.

To fix this, go to:

%Localappdata%\FactoryGame\Saved\Config\Windows → GameUserSettings.ini

Open this file with notepad or NPP and on Line 7 where it says"mPreferredOnlineIntegrationMode" write in Undefined as per example below ↓

mPreferredOnlineIntegrationMode=Undefined

Save the file and that should not allow Epic Games Client to login - this is a crossover-play feature and will turn on if crossplay (Steam and Epic) is allowed.

If you initially see "mPreferredOnlineIntegrationMode=Crossplay", then this will solve your issue.

Winter isn't fully wrong, look for this line in "GameUserSettings.ini":

mPreferredOnlineIntegrationMode=CrossPlay

It's the crossplay bit which triggers the game to try and log you in, remove this whole line and you're in the clear.

I removed my other response out of courtesy for Winter removing theirs. I still want to mention that I actually tried my suggestion for myself; I always do before I suggest something. Because if there's one thing I learned about the Net... it's that people copycat, even if they have no idea what they're talking about.

SO many Tubers parroting completely bogus arguments, even for Satisfactory. And too many people parrot those without actually trying them out themselves first.).
