Anti-piracy measures doing great work!
3rd week after release and still going strong with no crack. Sales are around 220 000 copies, which is amazing for this game.

The Asian market hasn't gotten the game yet, and they're pretty notorious for being pirates. I wonder what the impact will be.

You're the one diverting on misinformation. Go read up on the subject of cracked consoles, before you try to tell people that consoles do not get cracked or suffer from piracy just as PCs do.

If you're going to debate with an argument, at least know what you are talking about and have relevant information.

So you're saying that piracy is just as easy on PS4 and Xbox One as it is on PC... .

You need to explain this yourself because no amount of research on my side will prove this. In would really love to see those numbers and proof.

This is not true.

I assume that you're talking about Emulators. Emulators is not the same as a system being cracked to illegally download software. That has happened already, on all of those systems.

It is easier to crack a console or any hardware than it is to get an acceptable emulator working.

Nope I'm not talking about emulators, those are crap anyway. Theres still no stable ps3 emulator out there. As far as cracking consoles, PS4 is not cracked yet, only rumors of it. You can check this yourself. The best they can do right now is share PSN accounts to share games, kind of like family share on steam. People may have cracked older versions so they could install random software (like linux), but theres no real way to run backup copy's of games yet. And Xbox one just isnt hacked yet period. Pirating on next-gen consoles is close to dead.

Unfortunately I am at a disadvantage here because linking you to any information might be seen as promoting piracy, which is against Steam's Policies.

But for the sake of arguement, just go google any consoles and whether or not they've had exploits or cracks. It happens all of the time for every system. Piracy is not just some mystical PC-Only issue, it exists on every single platform, even on Smart Phones.

Hell, maybe your ISPs are just blocking them in your country or on your service.

Sounds like an excuse to me honestly. As Ryudo says, there's nothing out there for next gen consoles

Pretty sure I've only seen the usual places still peddling PS3 and X360 versions for 'cracked' consoles.

Quick check on PS4 CFW shows you can turn your PS4 into a linux machine.

dont be stupid, why they must crack this game now if game has alot of bugs/errors and etc? They do it after fix, 100%
Kaldaien Apr 6, 2017 @ 3:29am
The publisher's waiting for the morons to crack the game before releasing patches. I think this is how all publishers work these days :)

Far Cry 4 FOV slider anyone? :P

Even if the game will be pirated eventually, pirates will have to deal with an ending E without any help hahahaha.

No custom firmware however. So it can't play any copied games.

That was a thing that came to my mind as well.

But on the other hand this could mean the console and pc version could be legitimatly unfinishable in a few years, if square does nothing against it.

A bummer to think about this.

♥♥♥♥ you and your friends.
It's unbelivable that you have the gull to post this publicly.
Ask your parents get a part time job whatever, but stop pirating a game that needs the funds badly.

Its our reward for being early buyers I guess. That said, the credits are way too hard to do solo if you're not a super pro at bullet hell games. I am curious though if your data gets erased after you've helped someone or that it stays there forever.

Don't know.
I would guess that it depends if someone using your "help" gets hit by bullets, because there is a text stating that they're dsate got lost, if this is the case.
Who knows.

It's no reward, man. That kind of mechanic is what causes games to lose a lot of interest later on in their lifespan, when you want to retain interest the most. Games easily disappear into obscurity if they have stupid mechanics that require multiplayer input to complete.

I mean look at nonsense like Dead Space 3, half of the game is Multiplayer content, despite being integral to the story and having a lot to do with the full experience. That game is half-dead when you don't have a friend to co-op with.

With NieR the story is probably even more important, and it's a grueling experience to finish the last ending alone.
