What's the message hidden in the DLC's description?

seems like a bit of word unscrambling might be involved since if u spell out the out of place capital letters into an actual word you get a bunch on letters that on their own dont make much sense. Could probably be taken as they are working on another dlc soon but dont want to announce it until they have something to show

Yeah, I noticed that. I'm terrible with that sort of puzzle, though :/ My brain just stops.

I don't think it's an actual puzzle. The Japanese text (of which this is a translation of) had characters or something to indicate that a machine had written the text. This is most likely the case with the English text as well, although it... Sorta failed and sorta succeeded?

It is a code. It stands for 3 costumes, 3 Colliseums, 1 Dream. The rest is a date, and nobody knows what that date means.

Oh, that's what it reads? I mean, from all of the capitalized letters or just the least obvious ones, so excluding NieR, Automata, and the start of sentences? What's the date, btw?

No, Xillogean is slightly incorrect. What he describes is the DLC title, not the description.

3 Costumes
3 Colosseums
1 Dream
11944-09-27

1 Dream and the timestamp refers to the events that you learn about in the story that is included in the DLC.

As I mentioned previously the DLC description seems to have been written that way to give the impression that it was written by a machine. This, as well, is tied to the story that is included in the DLC.

Ooh, I see. The latter is a coordinate, isn't it? And if that wastheir idea, yeah... It wasn't too successful in English. It sure looks like a puzzle more than anything. I guess it works in the game cuz first, it's overused and second, we know it's a machine speaking.

What is a coordinate? 11944-09-27 ? That's an ISO 8601[xkcd.com] timestamp, which suggests that the events in the "1 Dream" story sequence takes place on 27th of September 11,944, approximately 6 months to a year before the events of NieR:Automata.

Oh, right. I completely forgot about the year the game happens. And that even though I finally had the time to clear 9S's ending earlier today...
On Sep 27 1944: "The Kassel Mission results in the largest loss by a USAAF group on any mission in World War II."

the date likely means year/month/day when they will patch the game offically for the first time.

That sounds awfully accurate. +1 as well.

Don't encourage them to aim for this date.
