Mr Black, How?

What is the requirments for the Mr Black Photo? I'd have though this would be ok as it's better then a lot of other photos that have passed other missions.

I set up a tent, and just fast traveling rom day to day. He was always there in the morning.

I don't have the tent DLC (why is that paid DLC), anyone got any other tips for getting close enough to him?

You have to get him twice. I videoed them both.

For me it turned out to be a tracking mission, i could never get close enough to get him out there when he would spawn on that peninsula, he always would take off, even with me on my belly moving slow,
So i tracked him twice i lost him, the third time i got him with this screenshot, he is very hard to track, but its the best way i had, got close enough just crouching and moving slow, the wind is how you lose him most,

I finally did this last night after watching HooCairs' videos (Great job!). Mr. Black is on the NW side of Balmont Lake (I assume that's the same for everyone, maybe not the exact same spot, I don't know). Approached from the NW heading SE. Spotted him but scared him away. Set up a tent and a blind right where he was. Slept a couple of times. Seems like I saw him mostly during the morning. He came wandering back but stopped and wouldn't come out on the peninsula. Spotted him first. Snuck up crawling really slow, got under a tree and raised to a crouch, snapped the pic at about 30 meters. No zoom. The tent really helped. The blind not so much. Didn't bother with caller, descenter, musk, or anything. Snap a lot of pics. Glad to have that done!

You could call him in with the bear call and use a blind once you know he's in the area. I've gotten within 10m of bears doing that.

ikr it sucks.

if you succeeded please report back. i didn't do it yet either..

also don't bother with the missions too much. the game shines if you just hunt, relax. imo atleast.

I ended up doing it, but it was son long ago now i can't remember how, but it did seem bugged i vaugly remember the shot can;t have any obstruction.

I had problems with the mission until I used the spotting mechanic and then took the picture while he was highlighted. That helps with most of the picture missions.
