As soon as someone actually pastes the logs I asked for, I can tell you what is causing this error and possibly fix it.

That is an HRESULT code, but by itself very meaningless because I don't know what generated it.

More accurately, it is DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED, which generally means you did not install the Platform Update.

Oups. wasn t the log .. here it is : http://pastebin.com/HCrY42zP
Excellent! Thank you, finally got someone to give me the info I needed :)

Can you describe your system in a little bit of detail?

It's trying to run from an Intel GPU right now, but I'm not sure if that's because it's a laptop or if it's the only GPU you have?

Adding AdapterOverride=1 to [Render.dxgi] in dxgi.ini might be able to bypass the Intel driver and get you up and running.

thx for the quick answer. Yeah I have an old laptop (7 years i think ?). Don t really know what you need so here are a bunch of information from dxdiag :

System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
System Model: N71Jv
BIOS: BIOS Date: 10/30/09 15:13:23 Ver: 08.00.10
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 430 @ 2.27GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 3884MB RAM
Page File: 3939MB used, 3827MB available
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
User DPI Setting: Using System DPI
System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)
DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled
DxDiag Version: 6.01.7601.17514 32bit Unicode

---------------
Display Devices
---------------
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics (Core i5)
DAC type: Internal
Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0046&SUBSYS_12721043&REV_12
Display Memory: 1696 MB
Dedicated Memory: 64 MB
Shared Memory: 1632 MB
Current Mode: 1600 x 900 (32 bit) (60Hz)

And I have a Nvidia GeForce GT 325M (driver 335.23; API Direct3D 10.1 ...) and in the nvidia panel I configurated that I want to use the nvidia card for Batman.

Adding your line in dxgi.ini didn t change anything :( .
Oh, D3D 10.1 won't run this game. It needs to support D3D 11.1, this is likely the problem and I don't think there is any way to fix it. It would only run at ~5 FPS max on that GPU anyway, the game eats GPUs for breakfast.

This exact error happens to me. Windows 7x64. Very old card - HD4850, latest drivers for that card according to AMD - 8.97.100.11 from 2013. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows+7+-+64

I guess I'm out of luck for newer Telltale games?

bueno nada aun...
Still no fix? I know Telltale company has some issues now, but this is ridiculous...
Is anyone getting this error actually running with a DX11 GPU?

IDK. Here's my configuration: (I know it's old but - hey - I was playing Arkham City and Arkham Origins on this PC, and I would say it's a bit more demanding than this game.)
I'll post it in 2 posts because one post has limited number of characters.

Well, when Windows 7 isn't causing problems for you by not supporting D3D11.1, your GPU is going to cause problems. It supports D3D11, but at best it supports feature level 10_0. It's a D3D10 era GPU and only runs in D3D10 era games.
