Physx Effects greyed out
I'm running a system with a 2600k and two 560 ti video cards running in SLI. When I go to settings in Borderlands 2, the option to change the Physx Effects is greyed out, and set to Low. Shouldn't I be able to set this to High on this system?

Yeah, SLI is enabled. And are 560 TIs that bad already?

Sounds silly, but are you running the latest drivers?

Some people have been having some trouble with this. Although, you're able to force it through config editing.

Do you have your physx set to GPU or CPU in the Nvidia control panel?

My friend has 2 560 cards, prettty sure his is working fine, I will check with him and see when he gets home.

I'm running two 570s in SLI and I can run Physx on high, I can't see there being drastic difference between two 570 and 2 560 ti.You should be able to run it on high. Maybe like hairlessmonkey suggested - your physx might be set to CPU?

Yeah, drivers are up to date. I did manually force the setting to High in the .ini file, but it's still greyed out in the settings on the splash menu and in-game. Physx is set to GPU.

Take it OFF of GPU in the Nvidia Settings on your computer. You can then change it in the game.

I'm running a 450 1Gb and a 250 1Gb deditcated to PhysX. PhysX is set to High with no issues. Processor is a Q6600.

Have you gone into the Nvidia control panel and changed the PhysX to have one of the card as a dedicated PhysX card?

Bordrlands 2 doesn't realy take advantage of SLI, unfortunetly.

GTX 560 is newer version comparing to the GTX 460 1GB. I am running a GTX 460 1GB using an OUTDATD DRIVER dated August 2011 and all my settings are HIGH including Physx.
Yours should be able to run it fine. Maybe do as Spawn of Totoro Said, or maybe try the original driver version that came with the 560 Card ?

I had the same problem, but was able to resolve it. The Nvidia control panel indicated the GPU was running PhysX and Borderlands 2 PhysX was greyed out and set on low. I exited the game and set PhysX to CPU through the Nvidia control panel. I started Borderlands 2 and the PhysX was still greyed out. Exited the game. Set PhysX to GPU in Nvidia control panel. Started Borderlands 2 again. The PhysX Effects was no longer greyed out and I could change it to Low, Medium or High. This was through the Settings tab from the splash/startup screen of Borderlands 2. I'm running Win7 64 bit.
