What's included in the Season Pass and GOTY Edition
Seeing the question pop up a lot, so here's a helpful list of exactly what's included in the Season Pass.

The Borderlands 2 Season Pass includes four all-new add-on campaigns featuring new areas to explore, new adventures to undertake, new enemies to overcome and more in a bundle that's available at a discounted rate over buying each add-on individually.

The Borderlands 2 Season Pass includes:

Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty (campaign add-on)
Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage (campaign add-on)
Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt (campaign add-on)
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep (campaign add-on)
The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack (level cap increase)

The Season Pass does not include:

Gaige the Mechromancer (playable class)
Krieg the Psycho (playable class)
Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 (level cap increase)
Add-on packs to be released in the future.
The Borderlands 2 Season Pass does not include Gaige the Mechromancer. Many of our fans received her as a free download because they pre-ordered Borderlands 2 from a Premiere Club retailer, and we don't want those that already have a free download of her to pay for her again.

Additionally, the Borderlands 2 Season Pass does not include Krieg the Psycho playable class.

The Mechromancer and Psycho classes are both available as premium downloadable content packs.

The Game of the Year Edition includes:

Borderlands 2 (Copy of the game, Unless you already have the game then just DLC's)
Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty - (Campaign Add-On)
Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage - (Campaign Add-On)
Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt - (Campaign Add-On)
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep - (Campaign Add-On)
The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack - (Level Cap Increase)
Gaige the Mechromancer - (Playable Class)
Krieg the Psycho - (Playable Class)
Creature Slaughter Dome - (Battle Arena)
Collector's Edition Pack - (Extra heads and skins for Axton, Maya, Zer0, and Salvador; bonus weapon)

The Game of the Year Edition does NOT include:
Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 - (Level Cap Increase)
Head Hunter 1 - (Campaign Add-On)
Head Hunter 2 - (Campaign Add-On)
Head Hunter 3 - (Campaign Add-On)

I appreciate the original posters intention. But I am still confused. I want to buy all the DLC for this game but I don't want to accidenttally buy anything twice. Can anybody simplify this discussion for me a little? I'm not trying to be difficult, but you have to admit there is a buttload of DLC for this game and sorting through it all is kinda daunting.

Do you have any specific question? Because this does not help one bit. Everything you need to know is in the first post.

I'm sorry my confusion doesn't help you, YipYapYoup. I'm not here to help you. I'm here to get an answer to my question. If you have a question of your own, post it. Hopefully somebody more friendly and helpful than you will come along and help you answer it.

What exactly are you confused about?

I'm just trying to buy all the DLC and not buy anything twice.

Then get the goty edition.

The Game of the Year Edition does NOT include:
Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 - (Level Cap Increase)
Head Hunter 1 - (Campaign Add-On)
Head Hunter 2 - (Campaign Add-On)
Head Hunter 3 - (Campaign Add-On)

and then those 4 dlc's seperatly and youll be good to go.

I've got the base game already. I think if I buy the Season Pass, Psycho, Mechro, Creature Slaughter Dome, the three Headhunters and UVHM2 that will cover it. It would be helpful if Steam bundled all that for people who already own the base game. I'm not interested in all the 99 cent skin packs.

I appreciate your help, though, SlackerBoe. You helped me not forget UVHM2.

He just copied and pasted what was in the first post. I wasn't being rude in my other post, I wanted you to focus your question because, as I said, everything you wanted to know was in the first post.

Obviously. Answer is simple. If you care less about the 2 additional characters and UVHM #1, then buy the Season Pass. If you want the 2 addtional characters, the Gearbox starter gear from the Premiere Club, and UVHP #1, buy the GOTY.

I have the base game already, just wondering if i buy the GOTY can i gift the new unused vanilla copy of the game but keep the dlc for myself?
WanzerStrum 2014 年 2 月 6 日 上午 11:05
What a weird setup. DLC isn't handled very well with this game. How about you have the GOTY edition include everything and an upgrade price for base game that includes everything in GOTY. At the same time if someone wants to cherry pick their DLC let them do that to.

Thank you! This helped me very much. :starite:

GOTY is better because its cheaper and you have more dlcs
Chargeit 2014 年 2 月 6 日 下午 6:22
It's pretty rank that a season pass doesn't include the level cap increase.

I was going to pick it up, but, I'll just wait. Sooner or later I'll get the "GOTY" edition for like $9.99.
