I own it, got it yesterday, and it definitely does have problems. But once again, here you are rabidly defending, and calling other liars. Your bias is so thick it's palpable.

I have experienced tons of little glitches and problems, not even counting the poor performance and stuttering. Inventory screens being buggy. Maps not always showing quest givers and objectives. Enemies and items falling out of the world. Tons of little glitches and lacks of polish.

Sounds like you have issues with your PC actually. Nobody else has all those issues. I have zero issue. The game runs at a smooth 75+ FPS at 1440P ultra settings., I7 8700K/ GTX 1080ti/ 32 GB/ SSD . whats your specs..

My apologies. As far as I can see, all rewards are tied to your Shift account.

There is no transferring of accounts options.. You just log into the shift account with either game. I use the same Shift account on BL, BL2, TPS and BL3.

So when it comes on Steam, there is no reason to think you will not be able to log into the game using an existing Shift account, and retain any rewards or progress that was tracked via the Epic version. It should be fundamentally the exact same game. It is my expectation that I will retain all rewards and Shift specific progress, in either version.

Coupled with the fact that the game has it's own matchmaker, the only thing you actually are missing with the Epic version is achievements that Steam may offer later. That is it.

Actually, giving this some thought, how in the world can they stop you? This is the same format as the past borderlands, meaning it's all stored on your computer, allowing to edit your character, and as we've seen before, simply copy and paste.

You'll be able to use it, the only question is how much work you will you have to do to do it.

I do not know about that, but my suspicion is that the website for claiming shift rewards is just not fully up to date. Wouldn't surprise me.

I claimed some golden keys via my Shift account on the website, and it did say I was claiming the reward on Steam. And yet I still got the keys in BL3.

Again, I think they just lazily have not updated the Shift site to reflect that the new game is on Epic.

I stand corrected. It seems they updated the shift site since I last claimed keys, two days ago.

Now when I go to claim a golden key reward, it asks me if I want to claim it for Steam, or Epic. When I redeemed them the first time, I only had the claim on steam option. And I claimed them in that manner, and did get at least some of them in BL3.

But for what it's worth, I was just able to claim all the current golden key codes on Epic, even though I already had claimed them all two days ago, as Steam codes. So it allowed me to reclaim them specific to Epic. Maybe you can claim them for both. Or maybe they allowed this because the site had been claiming them for Steam until a couple days ago. Their mistake.

That is how I claim codes (especially since you can't copy/paste with the new Borderlands game). With the shift.gearboxsoftware link.

And as I said, I just reclaimed every current golden key code for Epic, and they all accepted, even though I claimed some of them for Steam two days ago. When looking at my rewards on the shift site, I show Diamond Loot Chest Golden key rewards on both Steam and Epic.

Also, I don't think you even need to own the game to claim the keys, as I first claimed them as reward before hours before I made the purchase. And maybe that is why it only offered me the steam option, not either Steam or Epic.

So I think anyone could be claiming these keys already now, tied to their shift account, for retrieval whenever they get the game.

With such a huge BL3 drop rate (as i heard) there is not much point in golden keys anyway.
SHIFT account are transferrable and that's suffice for entire topic.

Agreed. Of bigger concern to me were specific rewards for purchasing the game, including Deluxe edition items. And from what I can see, those are permanently tied to my Shift account. So I expect if I logged into that account on a Steam version of the game later, I'd still have all those rewards.

Sorry if I derailed or confused the topic. Goodluck all. so far I find the game to be pretty good, it just needs optimization and polish.

Copy pasterino your save game files into the steam version and cross your fingers papa gaben lets you have your progress transferred. Also i doubt timmy from epic games will allow that without you having to brawl his pet raccoon while he shoots fireballs out of his butt.
