Yes, the world is complex, but you don't think this might be a bit of an overreaction? Physical incidents that cause those conditions are extremely uncommon, making the literal amount of people affected extremely small. I understand you don't want to make anyones' lives worse, but banning people for calling a character "he" really isn't necessary and, frankly, I'm not even convinced that the group in question would want that.

1. From what I understand, people were NOT being banned for accidentally misgendering a character. They were banned because they were deliberately making an issue of gender on the forums, and being obnoxious about it. It wasn't about accidentally calling FL4K a "he", nor was it about having a civilized discussion, like we're doing here. As far as I can tell, anyway. Just my opinion there.

From what I read from the Reddit, people would be banned for "deliberately misgendering". That doesn't sound like anyone intentionally came to the forums to make an issue out of it, but that they were responding to mods who were intentionally making an issue out of it. If you say "he" on purpose and refuse to stop after a mod tells you not to say it, then you get banned. I could understand if someone enters a thread screaming "there's only two genders!!!", but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Basically, whether you did it accidentally or intentionally should be irrelevant here. No one should be making an issue out of it at all.

The video description is a great cause for concern. Is it wise to purchase a piece of software from people so uneducated they believe it acceptable to refer to an individual with a collective pronoun? I think not.

"They said", "help them", are perfectly acceptable ways of referring to a singular person. It doesn't just cover plurals, it has always covered unknown / unspecified too, long before all this gender politics.

I'm not saying you should or shouldn't buy the game however, that's up to you.

The male voice alone makes me think FL4K is male.

Besides, I never understood the 'non-binary' crap out there. Genetically, there are two human genders. I don't care what you want to be. If you were born genetically female, you'll never produce your own sperm. Genetically male you'll never grow your own eggs. There's not really a middle ground besides hermaphrodites, and they're accidents.
Under a microscope you are a set gender, regardless of whatever you wish you were.

Someone buy this poster an Internet.
Or a medal.

I get disgusted with this sh*t, too.
Remember all the dumbness when all the gender-confused and their supporters started coming out of the woodwork... now Bert and Ernie have to be gay, because they're portrayed as male gender roles, and obviously two males living together that long have to be gay, even though they're not even technically alive because they're made of felt, have ping pong balls for eyes, don't even have genitalia, and are manually animated by offstage puppeteers... they're still gay because because they're portrayed as 2 males who've been "partners" for decades....

You're born with 2 Xs, or an X and a Y. Deal with it or just leave the human race already.
And stop assigning sexuality to make believe, non-living things just because it suits a personal agenda that supports some moron's confused sense of self.

Next we're gonna hear Amara is the new lesbian hero because she's too butch to attract a male companion, so that must mean 2K is catering to the non-hetero players, so anyone now who protests BL3 is homophobic.

FFS, people.

So, read through this thread.

Sad, how many addicts use a game to feed their anger addiction.

You might be surprised how common it is, and most people are never diagnosed and never even realize they have one of these genetic variations unless there is a specific problem that causes them to be diagnosed, and it is very rare for a person with a genetic variation to have a problem severe enough to need diagnosis.

Even conservative estimates say Klinefelter Syndrome "male 47XXY" happens about once in every 500 "male" births.

Chimerism may be far more common than people realize as well. Most people only notice it if they have an extra leg or two.

This is going to sound harsher than it is intended to be but, every condition you describe is a mutation and not "normal". These are not genders as you labelled them but genetic defects that result in people having physical issues.

If they don't realize they're affected, then they aren't even part of the group we're protecting. They will most likely identify as one of two genders, regardless of their chromosomes. The people who are actually affected by this or identify with it, and take the multiple-genders thing seriously are much less common than those statistics.

This guy... this guy cured my brain cancer... thanks for existing and creating this comment... I really hate when people bring that crap gender ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to videogames
TheHuskyGT Aug 15, 2019 @ 11:38pm
The more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ surrounds this game, the less I feel like playing it honestly. I don't think I even want to finish the old games. This is a video game, set on a fantasy world. The only way I can distract myself from the hectic real world after a 55+ hour work week. And now they are trying to push some liberal, leftist, SJW, snowflake, LGBTASDF3.1416+- ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?

There are only two genders. Period. Science and proven facts don't care about your feelings. If you want to be something else, you are free to do so in the privacy of your own home, or minding your own business and respecting others (including their own views) when out on public. Don't destroy the English language with incorrect pronouns. Don't defy the morals of normal people just to cater to your mental illness.

Thank you. Thank you so very much. It is very satisfying to encounter people with common sense.

Fortunately you don't go to twitter, the voice actor for Fl4k is having a hissy fit about that, insulting fan and the like.
