Save folder marked as Read Only
Hey!

So, my save folder is always marked as Read Only and my game cannot write save files. Any suggestions?

Take ownship and uncheck read only?

Windows : what version - 7, 8.1, 10

Linux

check your Anti-virus software. make sure it's not interfering with the game.

I unchecked read only and when i start the game it marks anyway

The anti-virus might be the problem, i think, but i dont know how to solve it. I have Avast and Malware Bytes. The thing is, i had no problem before and after i imported a save file from the internet everything is screwed up. I uninstalled the game twice and deleted everything but the save files appear anyway.

I did that a few minuted ago. Now i can delete and make new Characters but the progress doesnt save. And all the files are still marked as Read-Only.

What other security software do you have, BitDefender is known to block access to Documents as an example.

Avast and MalwareBytes

it's interesting that you started having this problem after importing a save from the 'net.

the only other thing i can of, is to copy your SaveData folder to a different location ( just to be safe )
then delete all your saves, but NOT profile.bin.
and see if that solves anything.

you'll still have your old saves anyway.

Now it works, i dont know what exactly happened. The entire folder is still on Read Only but atleast now i can save. Thank you all for help.
