[Demo] Anyone find the typing sound annoying?
Tried the Demo, I guess I'll just have to turn down sound effects just so I don't hear that sharp key sfx a 1000 times. I'm sure that it can be smoothed out a bit.

I found it distracting, too.
Would be nice to have an option to turn these typing sounds off.
Nope not just you.

I don't really mind, it has different pitches for the tone of each phrase and it has a nice enter sfx at the end of sentences lol it feels right.

However I do have an EQ set up in my soundcard (working as a low-pass filter of sorts) so maybe that's the reason I don't find it annoying.

We are already looking into the possibility of settings for the typing sound.

I don't mind the typing sound at all, I kinda like it. But it would be nice the possibility to turn it off.

Thanks for this Cheru, and also for your work on bringing a Suda51 game towards an actual release!

You can fast forward the text holding the mouse button/space bar, skipping a good amount of the sound.

Hey WarRock, I understand that it is a valid option, but please note that we do respect the keyboard effect SFX as part of the game feel (Heck, I love the keyboard sound on the DS game Contact which has the best SFX of any game ever for me!). The developer has said that they already are looking into the possibility of settings to control the sound. I believe they have a few options:

1. Simply apply a Low-Pass filter effect to the typing sound file (Allows low frequencies to pass while high frequencies are attenuated), In music language it means less treble, more bass. In Lollipop english (lol), that's less 'nails on board' or 'sharp-clicky', more 'tappy-snappy'. Examples to follow can be Ace attorney & Contact for the DS, and quite possibly Resident Evil 2 (but that's a typewriter).

2. Implement a standard slider UI in the audio-settings.

Note: I love keyboard-click sounds IRL, I own a mechanical Keyboard (Brown Keys)

Not at all. I find voices in Okami more irratating then typing sound in TSC.

So you agree it still irritates you, even if not as much as Okami? Why did you start your sentence with 'Not at all' ?

Sorry, my English is not very accurate, I'm cool with typing sound. Just like people mentioned, in Japanese games these things makes game's mood, how people talk, just like in Ace Attorney series.
