What's with traders who don't answer trades?
I've had this happen too often. I send someone a trade and they ignore it. I see them online or they've been online after I sent them the trade and they don't bother with the trade offer one way or the other. What's with that?

So they're using Steam with that annoying green notification on the top right the whole time? Something is wrong with those freaks.

Probably multiple users on the account. Like a little brother playing on his older brothers computer, and he doesn't do anything other than play games.

Thats what mine does at least, or if a friend messages me he just tells them I am not in at the moment.

It gets so annoying when someone adds you to trade and they never respond after you accept. like wtf

If you're just trying to trade random people in-game then they will probably accept and just ignore the trade to waste your time.

If it's on Outpost then yeah, it's really common (for me at least). Steam only shows the "online" status when users could really just be away or busy.

Change your privacy settings to allow people not on your friends list to post on your profile then state on your profile that you either leave a comment saying what the add is for on it gets declined. That clears most of them.

theres several factors:
-someone on either side of the spectrum removes items or unnoticingly trades an item(s) so the trade cannot be declined nor accepted nor changed
-they dont want to
-you have ♥♥♥♥ items for trade
-they arent interested
-they dont get on, i mean people do have lives outside of steam

I don't have a problem with my trade being declined. i do have a problem with someone seeing it and not answering it one way or the other.

If this happens the trade is auto-cancelled with the notification saying "items no longer available for trade", so this is never the issue.

OP is specifically complaining about trades where the person has listed an item, and they have sent a trade offer with the exact payment asked for, and they still don't accept it.

Part of OP's complaint is that you see that the person you have sent the offer to is online but they continue to fail to accept or decline the trade.

I've had he same problem, 1 guy even reposting the same advert 24 hrs later even tho' he still had not responded to my offer (which was what he had asked for). When I pointed this out he suddenly decided to up the price by 50% !

What also frustrates me are people who don't close their trade after completing it, the amount of time wasted checking inventories is rediculous.

CLOSE YOUR TRADE WHEN DONE. :caster_wink:

Often we traders will receive upwards of 5 trade offers for the one item each night, so sometimes we might leave it a while and consider which offer we like best
