Black box vs Direct hit

Which do you find better. I like the bb's health benifit but i also like the direct hits damage bonus and speed. What should I use?

Its personal preference. If you can aim well and can get direct hits, then go for the Direct hit.

If not, however, or you REALLY like the survivability of the Black Box, then go with that.

Hey, personally. I think you should make two seperate loadouts. One for Black Box and one for Direct Hit so you can change out between them.

I think he's asking the forums opinion, not wondering which he should use. Personally I just prefer stock over both, due to it not having limiting downsides.

I find the direct hit very useful if you need to take out a sentry, due to the damage bonus and projectile speed. Combine that with the battalion's backup, and youve got a sentry buster loadout. Other than that, the direct hit is nearly useless unless you have a specific target in mind or are in very narrow passages. Black box is my usual wep, mainly because it"s good in close-quarters fights, where you can shoot the guy right next to you and not have to worry as much about hurting yourself. Also, not many medics go quick-fix, so if you rocket jump you're usually on your own.

I can't aim for ♥♥♥♥. Despite the lucky occasion that I do land a direct hit, I prefer something with a bigger splash radius (stock FTW).

Blackbox is a nice, independent health source which can be great for roamers. However, you need a shotgun to compensate on the missing rocket.
Direct hit has a tiny blast radius; but can 1 hit most classes if you can aim, even soldiers if they are airborne.

Isn't missing a rocket, unlike blackbox which practically requires a shotgun to make up for the missing rocket.

Doesn't hurt as much as direct hit which is good for rocket jumping.
