is 2 points per backstab to many?
hear me out. if we are to assume the spys backstabing feature is balanced,(which it is) then why does it give you 2 points rather than 1, as most kills give you? if it was underpowered, it would make sense, but seeing as how it is clearly not, why would valve give more points for it? this is a legit question. im actually curious.
if the number of points given per backstab were lowered, perhaps it would discurage people from playing spy when there are already 3 spys on the team. or maybe I'm just whinning and should suck it up...

Trust me, the amount of points you get is not why tomato players decide to play spy.

points don't mean jack sh!t except for people who join a server, see who has the most points, then team stack.

1: It's usually harder to get a backstab than it is to get most regular kills
2: I don't come across many servers with 3 spies, if anything it's snipers.

with how long TF2 has been out and with spy awareness rising, i dont even backstab anymore, gunspy all the way.
so no, if you can pull of a backstab in this day and age and survive, you deserve those 2 points

Backstabbing is the Spy's special skill, if you are smart enough and know how to sneak past enemies to surprise them from behind then you do deserve these 2 points.

But as an ex-comp player I know points don't mean ♥♥♥♥, so ye.

a headshot as sniper gives 1.5 points, I think backdtabs should be lowered to that just for the sake of convention, but people play spy because its beyond easy, I have like zero hours on actual spy, but I played it in a pub yesterday and went like 16/2 despite it easily being my worst class.

the question is who gives a sh*t about points?!
Suna Jul 17, 2014 @ 2:43am
It's an instant kill that requires (just a little bit of) skill, like headshots, so it gives extra points.
