Is MGE good for improving?
I die a lot in Scout 1v1 and I think my aim is getting worse

hard to say. most people only go there to make others feel bad about themselves.

You're not getting worse, you're simply realising how bad you actually are. It's part of the learning process.

Yes, it's very good for improving if you have an opponent of roughly your skill level or a bit above yours. If you're constantly stomping with no challenge or being stomped with not even a glimmer of a chance of success then you won't find much success.

No, but it's good for seeing how toxic the comp community is

Yea but only so much, you would be better off checking out some deathmatch servers listed on tf.tv

MGE can create some bad habits like tunnel vision or learning and abusing positioning to avoid splash, something that doesn’t really apply to the real maps.

For things like practicing as scout against soldier and demo 1v1 it’s great, or getting air shots down and just overall tweaking your aim.

yes it would except for spy hes a very situation based class and spy vs spy is pretty bad bcs u probly only try to trickstab each other
There’s kind of what I like to call a “skill vacuum” on MGE servers. Only the players that are “looking to improve” and the players that are “warming up before an ESEA invite scrim” really play on them, which makes newer players feel worse than they are, because they keep playing against 7k+ hour players that simply destroy them. Never stop playing MGE, it’s just too useful of a learning tool.

Play MGE with someone you know and you will both enjoy it and actually improve.

I MGE my wife. It's always a good way to resolve who's doing the dishes.

depends on who you MGE with

Jumping blindly into an MGE server is the big dumb, don't do it.

Hop in with a friend or someone of equal skill.

Find a friend who is way better than you. mge with them and ask then for tips on what youre doing wrong. Play with anither friend who is worse and help them out. So yes, mge helps you get better. So much better. You just need to know people which us easy with our karge playwr base.
