Instead of DRM, why don't publishers flood torrent sites with broken version of games? Make it playable but it will kill the PC after a few playing session.

Seems much more fun.

Or just hire one PR guy to give negative comments on torrent in torrent sites.

Why would they waste money on that if they could spend that money on PR for the actual product instead? That's positive for sales too, see NMS.

i wanted to hear opinions if that will end up cheaper than paying for Denuvo.

Imagine an announcement of a publisher like Namco, they openly declare that they will release broken games via torrent to deter pirates. I wonder if that will grab anyone's opinion.

Besides that, to pirate a game seems easy when torrent sites are available. Imagine the amount of options that pop up that ruin a pirate's PC. That might deter casual piracy which actually has spending power and the options to purchase.

I hope publishers don't attempt both: Implement DRM and troll casual pirates.
It will show that they are delusional that they can get more sales from a non-paying audience.

Tying error bug messages to Steam accounts to oust pirates seems like the best bet.

I'm not sure there is a discussion to further at this point...

I mean, we already know that the game has Denuvo, and peope who are going to hate on it are going to hate on it, and people who are going to not care about it are going to not care about it, and it's probably already been cracked anyway, based on information I've read from other people's posts.
