That's... my point. People pick classes just because they have a gun they want to use, and basically just play like riflemen with a SMG or Shotgun. While not all weapons should be open for everyone (like the flamethrower, sniper rifles or the RPG), if SMGs and Shotguns were available for the grunts, it would open the smoke classes for people that actually aren't braindead. Also if you're a squad leader you are given an handgun if your class didn't have one, along with the binocs and the mattock/signal smoke, so if you want an handgun, be the SL of an empty squad (I do that specially when I'm a rifleman on early war North side, since the reloads on those rifles are too slow for my taste).

In what possible way does "Go home GI" fit in the definition of toxic behaviour? Awful lot of projection going on here it seems.
