Try doing that in a firefight
The placement for the main type is so limited that it barely seems worth it, and when you do finally find a suitable place it takes ages to place it.
If you manage to find an allowed place, dig for ages, and get clear of the area. All without being killed, then you should get a medal.
Anyways, yes, trap placement definately still has some bugs, hopefully they get ironed out.
Example, if you use a tripwire in the field it can be a peg in the ground or extended from a tree, bush or whatever. But move into a hut, or even urban environment and it becomes another kind of boobytrap that you can wire in the doorway, from furniture or walls etc.
So basically you carry x number of flexible boobytrap that adapt to the environment. Maximum flexibility only for Vietnamese
They've fixed things substantially since then.
