maybe this is normal these days, but many of this game's positive reviews appear to be LLM generated. Very strange for such an old game. Might not be the dev's fault, but hard to overlook.

Anyway, I found out about 12 is Better Than 6 because I had the idea to make a Hotline Miami rip-off set in the Old West, only to find out that it already exists. Unfortunately, it's not very good. The manual reload/ejection mechanics promise satisfying shooting but don't really work, mostly because you have to hold down the co-ck button when you aim with the revolver for some reason--but not the Winchester or the shotgun--and can't reclaim ammo from dead bodies. It's extremely repetitive, and the shooting is very clunky. I felt like I had seen everything after less than an hour. NPC dialogue is sometimes too long for its own textboxes, making everything feel like a $0 flash game, although there are a few touches of style in the graphics and movement mechanics. Probably my biggest complaint is that the characters all wear big, silly Western hats, and it makes them look like barrels--which are scattered liberally through the various environments for no reason except LeVeL dEsIgN.

This game feels very cheap. I get that it's old and European, but it's definitely not worth anywhere near full price these days, if it ever was. $12 for this is insane. Buy some tokens for ChatGPT and generate fake Steam reviews with that money instead.
