Musicians puzzle - need help with animal part

I've gotten the saxaphone player's keys and the oil can for the drummer, but I can't figure out the third musician and the animal.

The walkthrough illustration seems to indicate either that a) you have to catch it and use it to lure / chase whatever is in the instrument out, or b) it's the thing inside the instrument itself and you have to pull / lure it out, but I can't do either.

Help?

you need to go up stairs from there and at the church patio go even further stairs left - theres the cat you need to scare out the mouse in the long pipe by electrocuting him with wire after solving puzzle in post where owl is... you can do the church and the well quest later

To be fair on the in-game walkthrough, it's only shown in segments as relevant to each area. There's a Steam Community Guide that puts all screenshots/pages of the walkthrough on one webpage for easy viewing.
