Anyone know what font the game uses?
I got the game running on Wine and the only extra-windows problem seems to be that the letters overlap with each other. I guess that the way to fix the problem would be telling Wine to substitute the used font, but I don't know what the original that font is.

I would be gratefull if anyone with information would share it. Also sharing any other info about runnign the game on Linux would be cool =)

It doesn't use any font.

Run Pretty Prinny with texture dumping turned on and you will be horrified by what you discover.

About 15 different sprite sheets for Japanese, Chinese, Korean, English... none of them are correctly aligned. I can't even fix that problem and this is basically my job description :P

Well... I suspected something was strange when nothing happened when I dumped my Windows font folder inside Wine and /usr/share/fonts (and did other stupid stuff).

It's a pity that the game seems to work quite nicely on Wine besides fonts. Sometimes the results are quite funny and artistic, but it makes managing inventory a major pain.

I mean besides the alignment issues, generally fonts are made from individual icons for each letter in some kind of bitmap.
Though the final version is usually converted, and tested to actually fit in a normal font's grid, not just left as an image.

You could always just use the old UI, it doesn't seem to have that problem for me.

On another topic, I was wondering if you could help me out? For me, the game crashes whenever I try to leave the first room in the caste. If I try to load a save from that room the game also crashes. If you could share your wine settings and game settings you used to get the game running I'd find that helpful.

I forgot the old UI... and it seems to work without problems :)

My Wine settings aren't anything special. I'm running Staging branch wine 1.9.5 in WINEARCH=win32 with CSMT and VAAPI enabled. I also have devenum, quartz and wmp9 installed from winetricks.

Screenshot from my settings (don't think the first page matters):

If you run Wine from terminal, does it give any errors when crash occurs?
