This looks pretty great!

Your display device is making me sick :(

That motion blur is exagerating the quality of sprites and making me focus on the thing that's not moving. Can you do capture using a program instead of recording the display device maybe? :)

How?

I used fraps to record the video at 60fps and bigger resolution at first, but I needed to reduce the quality or else i'd still be uploading the video lol, I Don't know how the blur got so strong, but here are some pics

I found that there is a program to export and import sprites in the game, but to rearrange them would take a lot of patience and time, and since I got both, I decided that I would do this

Is that still using the 256 color palette? It looks shockingly good if it is :) I expected this kind of mod to require the kind of texture injection that Pretty Prinny can do (unpaletted, full 16.7 million color spritesheets)

Honestly I don't understand much about this, the only thing changed was the size of the sprite sheet from 256x256 to 512x512 and the palette from 16 colors to 32 and using only the vanilla game

looks good. This game needs a mod with HD sprites for every character because it looks not as good as emulated version with upscale and filters. NIS should ad an option to use the sprites from later disgaea games

Well guys, I'm sorry to say that, but, if I import too many HD sprites, the file that contain the sprites start getting too big and the game doesn't read them, making the game crash at startup

I don't know if there are or will be any fix for this stupid problem, but at moment I've stopped working on them until this issue can be solved, if anyone find something about this, please tell me right away and I'll keep doing it

Tomorrow I'll fix some of the sprites I already made and then I'll upload the SUBDATA
for you people to see them for yourselves, expect some metamorphosis while playing history mode...

I'm really sorry to let you guys down, I really hate leaving things halfway, but this isn't a issue I can do something about

Pretty Prinny allows you to inject (unpaletted) textures without modifying the game data, it'd probably bypass these problems. Unfortunately nobody ever expressed any interest in that functionality, so I never documented it.

Sadly Pretty Prinny didn't worked :\

The Download link as I said, just put in the game folder, but do a backup before

I used the data from the raw game, if this don't work with that mod that make a lot of characters playable, just extract the ANM00 e put in the SUBDATA there

Well, the important updated sprites would be Laharl(-chan), Flonne(Fallen) and Etna(Where is my busty Etna sprite, NIS)

Good taste in file hosting services, it's fast enough to do the job. It sucks that adding too many sprites can overload the game, but I guess it's better than nothing, right? Downloading right now!

EDIT: Don't, the game softlocks if an HD enemy tries to attack with a gun.
