MEFO Bills
Not a big fan of how these are now handled. You have to rush It is more of a burden. Only played a few games and it gets out of hand by late 1938. I feel like I have to pick specific paths on the tree, and play historical mode so it doesn't get out of hand.
Any Tips on managing MEFO bills?

ya, it was a big amount of complains but devs simply ignored it.
Totalyl agree. People wanted more freedom, now you are forced to go specific ways, less freedom, and ahistorical mefo.., an industtrial branch which is not stronger as minor nations, and does not represent the massive eco grow of germany, it sucks.

The changes are good. Before, you could basically ignore and/or forget all about them.

Now they are something that must be considered and managed.

Just get rid of them right away and go the OP routee

While MEFO bills helped with germany rearmamanet they also hid huge public debt and only delayed inevitable state bankrupcy that would happen if the war would be postponed and without stolen gold reservers from Anschluss and following occupations.

Also mefo bill system ended in April 1938 as Schacht was well aware it isalready more harmful than hellpful (despite he himself was remvoed from Reichsbank short after) so there is nothing wrong with that - as it is now, ti is way closer to reality.

You need to use MEFO decisions, pretty sure it is possible keep the system to late 38 at least (cus tjhis is my experience from yesterday) - but likely much longer if you focus on it.

If you want to "play historically," then you need to manage MEFO bills just like the Germans did. I'm doing just fine in my playthrough.
My english isn´t very good and I haven´t tested this update right now.

Can someone explain me fast and easy, what should I do right now with mefo?
I mean, how to play it, how to keep it?

If you play historically nothing extra at all, just the focus Price control and use its decisions over time. while Anschluss (and eventually Fate of Yugo) remove large part of MEFO penalty. Anyway the bonus is not so large so it is probably betetr cancel the MEFO yourself in time and eat temprary civ penalty rather than live with 90-100% for prolonged time.

PS: I am now in 1940, had MEFO at 100% and just siwtched it to Economy of Conquest when war started. Absolutely no problem, Germany is still OP as it always was, ppl worry without good reasons or facts.

You could attack Netherlands or other Countries early and exploit it, like Gigaachad, but if you want to play more historically... uff.

You can not do much about, there is a option to influence the trade prices, the name is "trade control" research it in the focus tree, then you get small decisions which helps some bit, but all together paradox announced to nerf germany through the mefo system and they did.

Theoretically, it forces you to play a-historically, if you want to get rid of it sooner, which a lot of people complained about

In history, Mefo ended 1938... so ya.. No idea why they force us this a historical way, because no matter what we do, the game is ahistorically now.

No, it is not ahistorical no matter what. Mefo bills in game are an amalgamation of Real life MEFO bills, but also the state of the German Economy. Its both.

The German economy nearly crashed several times, and was only saved by the seizing of assets like in Austria, Czechoslovakia, then Poland and beyond.

There's a reason why when you go to war the Mefo bills are renamed to "Economy of Conquest" to better represent that fact.

If you can't deal with the Mefo bills, then go the other economic path. And do not cry about "muh ahistoricality!!!" because unless you've lost every single game of Germany you've ever played, you have never played "historically" by losing to the combined might of the Allies and Comintern.

Mathematically your economy can't crash in 1937 unless you specifically try to.

What even " economy crash" mean lol? Even if MEFO reach 100% you just use more civs on consumer goods but if you follow pretty standard startegy (build only civbs till 37-38) it is negligible and have to eat 15% production Factory and dockyard output penalty - so what, with the MEFO active just build more factories with its bonuses and have production bonus on top of it.

I still roll over Europe as always ignored the mechanic, it cna cause issue only if youa re clueless with the game.
