Achievement "Our Other Place in the Sun" does not work or what?

I tired several times to gain this achievement and never triggered.

Following the general guides I found on internet, they say that the minimum requirement is to gain control over islands in the caribbean area as Imperial Germany. I did that several times conquering France and gaining the control over Republic of Guadalupe (French Caribbean) but zippo, no achievement.

Any clue?

I’m pretty sure Curacao doesn’t count neither so it could simply be that the state your taking doesn’t count.

Have you tried getting other territories?

Honestly no, I did not, Curacao I know is not included, but as all guides explain the French Caribbean suffice the minimum requirement (or should they) to trigger the achievement. I'm going to try to conquer the whole caribbean area and see.

I suspect that something behind the scenese changed in the game (maybe a fix or somehting else) since the last updated guide about game achievement, because it does not match anymore.
