From my observation and experience for being eligible for replacement:
- the weapon that define airplane in first slot has to match 100%, not only the type but exactly thew weapon (eg. CAS bomb must have CAS bomb, not CAS anti tank cannon). Some people say other slots too but I had no issue to eg. add new anti tank cannon to previous CAS with bomb only and it was eligible (maybe further replace the cannon again with bomb could break it again... not sure dont ahve all scenarios covered and we all learn the new system..)
- The air frame and aicraft classification must be same
- The available misions has to be exactly same too, if you add new weaponry that change available missions it is considered as new type
- equipment tag
Everything else I haven´t in Mind yet to solve the Change / Refit of Bombers etc.
