How many people bought HOI4 just to play Kaiserreich?

Not a fan of Kaiserreich. I also bought this back in the Summer of 2016. So no, I did not buy this game to play that mod.

I didn't, but I have spent a lot more time playing Kaiserreich than the vanilla game.

I tried Kaiserreich as Japan and didn't like it. It seems like a simplified version of the base game. All the countries are weak and fight each other.

I don't understand why there are ~40 political advisors, most of which are identical, when you can only have 3 of them. Many of the "bonuses" are so insignificant it doesn't even matter.

What I saw just wasn't for me.

Simplified? Just no. You have a lot more options and there are a lot more events. Also, you played possibly one of the worst majors. For a great Kaiserreich experience, you should play one of the more recent revamped nations, like Greece, Brazil, Argentina, USA, Arabia, Egypt etc.

I like Kaiserreich but it doesn't have the same level of freedom that standard HOI4 has, I mean the Kaiser and the Communist can't go over the boarder to shake hands then team up to beat up the Canadians. Plus some of the tech trees certainly show their age.

Me, I've maybe played vanilla HOI4 like 5 times at best. Kaiserreich just has a lot more unpredictability.

Simplified? Just no. You have a lot more options and there are a lot more events. Also, you played possibly one of the worst majors. For a great Kaiserreich experience, you should play one of the more recent revamped nations, like Greece, Brazil, Argentina, USA, Arabia, Egypt etc.

Plus almost every nation has some form of a focus tree unique to themselves, barring some of China and most of Afrika, compared to Vanilla even with DLC, which mostly boils down to Go Right (Facism, Monarchism, Democracy) or Left (Democracy, Communism)
