Capture Ships/Fleet in enemy Harbors - Man The Guns DLC

In the german civil war the navy is split and I tried to capture those ships from the other side back. Without any success. I thought now this is possible with the Man The Guns DLC.

Is it even possible to capture an enemy fleet or ships?
If so which conditions must be met?

I think they must be in port refitting for you to capture them.

wait... you can capture ships? because whenever i take ports it just ejects the fleet out to sea at which point my fleet smashes it.

I recall one dev diary where was something about it could be possible capture ship - but only if it is repairing (possibyl refiting too?)

Pretty sure it was never supposed to get fully operational ships this way and I am not 100% sure this feature came to release either.

The ships need to be doing refits to be captured. Otherwise they just go to sea.

Yes that´s true. I testet it. And if you refit / repair your Ships, you get an Info about that.

So it´s possible for you to get the Fleet from Norway and Poland if you are good. Hurt them and let them Flee to Port or take them if they are in Refit. Ships in Repair can´t leave the Harbor too, so you have 2 Chances to get more Ships in your fleet.

The same works on all other fleets too. And if you make it correctly with the Island Monkeys (GB) you can get rich on DD´s, Torpedoboats, light Cruisers, Aircraft Carriers, heavy Cruisers etc. if you time it correctly.

And you can get the hole fleet from France if you make the special Event after getting Northern France.
