Nazi Germany in general should not be to difficult to deal with,
Hitler is on volenteers only and on civilian economy while the player is on an higher constription and higher mobilization law.
I've found it to be relatively simple in my few goes simply because the 12 full infantry divisions the fascists get have had a tendency to all pop in northern Bavaria in one stack right on the border. I'll grab the infantry military advisor and then encircle them ASAP, even using a unit or two to pin them down. After that it's a bit of a cakewalk. Hold the line with your volunteer divisions, microing into empty provinces, and sweep north with your 12 Infantry divisions mostly unopposed. Hitler will put out maybe a tank division or two and a few infantry divisions since the fascists get the bulk of the equipment stockpiles; but, they're green and not too tough. Usually finished with the civil war before you can do 2 more focuses. (I usually go 4 yr plan and Autarky to get closer to the civilian factories for the really way too easy rebuilding. Everything is always repaired before you can even go down the post civil war factory repair line).
It's been two years, the civil war might have been done even in real time speed lol
on regular Ironman I use the Landsturmregiment Divions in one army to hold the line against the fascist east. My regular divisions go into another army, which forms a frontline on the border between Hessen and Bavaria, with a battle plan to cut off Bavaria from the rest of fascist Germany.
Have your regular divions attack, manually forcing breakthroughs to cut off Bavaria if necessary, then quickly take southern Germany. The enemy divisions will soon run low on supply, which is when you can mop them up. I cannot stress enough, how important it is to quickly push through northern Bavaria, thus denying the southern part reinforcements and supplies. If you manage, you basically win the civil war.
With the south liberated the Nazis will be weakened significantly, and pushing them back is trivial. The German civil war should be won by the end of 1936.
Personally I really like the alternate path where Germany becomes a constitutional monarchy and invites all it's neighbours into the Central European Alliance. What annoys me there, however, is that the CEA is almost guaranteed to end up fighting the Allies after Comintern has been defeated.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ What.
Tell me more. Can we then disband these tanks to get a massive surplus equipment?
*rubs hands*
Never tried it, but I strongly recommend to use "Landsturmregiment" ( capital letter ) ;)
Thought I saw a note in a patch release note that this has been fixed.
Build military factories on your side.
Prepare regular divisions so that you can split southern germany from northern and eastern germany thanks to Czeckoslovakia.
Mop up south whilest spamming regular infantry divisions.
There done.
