Just buy Crusader Kings 2 or Europa Universalis 4 they're literally HoI4 but medieval, and some might even say they're better.

Modding Hearts of Iron to cover medieval warfare would be so far removed from what medieval warfare actually looked like, that you may as well tape little card board knights to your monitor and pretend you're already playing a medieval game.

Oh look, someone who hasn't actually played the game acting like they have. What's the point in bashing a game you've never even played? Give it a chance dude, you are a fan of hoi3, paradox makes great games.

I find your complaints invalid, because slow army regeneration and expensive buildings are suitable for the era represented. And the games last A LONG ASS TIME, hundreds of years man. And if you have a decent PC you can play on max speed most the time and it goes by super fast when you're just "waiting" for things

If that is the case, CK2 is still a great game even without mechanic altering mods. I only use cosmetic ones myself.

If you want "medieval hoi4" then ck2 is where it's at, period. There is nothing closer, it IS what you want. Give it a chance man. It's on sale right now even, don't miss out. You won't regret it. I will guide you if you need a mentor lol.

I have to add, in hoi4 there's not really a cool way to model you banging the wives of your rivals or younger brother just for fun. In ck2 that's just part of the vanilla game. Bang people's wives when they aren't looking, for sport. Maybe then they plot to kill you? Maybe they duel you? HoI has no such possibilities.

CK2 cant be played without steam , so please stop lying ( Unless you pirated it , of course )...
Second , there is a huge difference between feudal era and WW2 , you know?
Third , the levies are actually replenishing way too fast , so you are wrong..
CK2 its not for everyone..Its not a map painting game , unlike HOI 4 ( Not saying HOI4 is a bad game )
The people are complaining because they cant go ''Pew pew , bang..Give me your land '' not because the game is bad or broken..

Mediaval HOI IV would work just fine, probably better than WW2 since this game is uncapable of reflecting that, but medieval... Someone would have to make that mod first... I doubt anyone would bother. And I bet it would take a lot of work, but the mechanics in it self should work.

Instead, I reccomend you to play CK2. A good game, but lot of "role play" stuff, like your ruler getting a disease etc. Same goes with EUIV, but to a lesser degree.
