Keyboard targeting for ranged weapons / opening chests?

Recently began playing Rogue Wizards started up a game on Gauntlet / permadeath mode, and after rebinding my keys to the Numpad like a traditional Roguelike, I've been completely unable to figure out how to target monsters with ranged weapons, or how to open chests with the keyboard. Can anyone offer a bit of help in this regard?

Seems to work fine with the mouse, but there does not seem to be a 'target' hotkey rebind in the menu, or on any key that i was able to find.
