War, Diplomacy, Pirate and Economy the mods.
First of all I made this thread for people who like me love war and diplomacy aspect of the game, and I want to specify I'll be talking about mods, so people willing to stay unmodified/vanilla you can stop reading here.


When I first began X game, I loved the idea so much, but there was something lacking, and it was actual war, peace, alliance. and be able to really influence how and who will win the war.
but didn't knew how, (or there wasn't tool giving you the ability to do so.)
but today its a different story, and I just wanted to share with some thinking like I did, the link and how.


you have 4 main mods that will give you this ability.

-DeadAir dynamic wars

this one made by the glorious creator "deadair" is a universal mod
(universal because it will add to the script automatically all faction you might add with other mod without the need of patch, and you will be able to remove the mod at any time)

what it does is simple, (in a way) unlock faction relation change, keep alliance between linked faction (like for example antigone and argon, teladi with ministry) and change relation between faction depending on events (killing between faction), power of said faction (a stronger faction will loose relation with all faction more easily, and weaker one will be more neutral)

it bring a mount & blade like feeling, and on top of that give the player ability to pay for peace between factions even tho it cost a bunch and demand the player to be in a advanced state in the game.

made by both deadair but mainly shuul(yet another great creator)
who modify your relation with other faction depending how much asset you own, and which faction you help.(so no longer double agent without consequences)

-Recycles stations
Recycle Ships and Stations[www.nexusmods.com]

this one made by Iforgotmysock is another essential mod, which give you the ability to sell station to other faction, this allow you to build shipyard and defense station and sell to faction you want them to SURVIVE.
x4 foundation is not made for dynamic war and some faction are weaker than other, thos faction that won't get help from the player might be deleted very fast, (like for example HOP will be able to make peace and concentrate the war on 1-2 other faction, and it change everything as HOP is way more powerful than all other faction)

thus its in my opinion a REQUIREMENT for the 2 other mods I gave. especially dynamic wars.

and the last for pirates lovers
-Minor faction Extended

this one simply add more jobs(number of ship that the faction is limited to build) to pirates faction. making their presence more felt.
in a way you can do that already with recycle station by selling wharf and shipyard to pirates. but here it also add more jobs.
NEW START/SAVEGAME IS REQUIRED FOR NEW JOBS



for balance I would recommend deadair jobs adjustment, which should go with deadair dynamic wars. but is not a requirement.

hope all this helped you, and you will finally get the war/strategy you wanted. because it really worth it, and does not affect performance (but minor faction extended which can affect performance a little.)

also those mods can be used in story mods, but keep in mind it might bring unwanted issue, because most campaign rely on fixed relation between factions. so better be used in sandbox mod, but can of course be used in story mod if you ain't minding chaos.

this game is better then elite, starfield, and star citizen. People complain games are shallow and then play X4 and complain they are drowning. Let it pour.

Minor faction Extended needs SVE, which adds some very badly balanced ships and others that look very bad in my opinion, if you don't use SVE you will miss on a lot of the added jobs, most of them actually. Not worth it in my opinion, they are better mods like those made by treybor.
