this is possibility 2.
possibility 1 is indeed a Pirate that hacked the storage, there is nothing one can do about that.. unless the HQ is in a player owned Sector and the Player has deployed some Fighter for Police duties... Police will scan Ships and reveal Pirates.
You also can mark very suspicious Ships (like Plunderer Behemoth / Phoenix) as hostiles... your Station will scare them away with their weapons should they have some... or they just kill the Ship.
Other then the mentioned Police there are no preemptive measures... only a keen eye and frequent checking for suspicious Ships will keep your storage save.
though to protect your station from hacking you need some police and patrol.
Police will reveal pirates and patrol will smack them.
Something "override of who to fire at" section.
on right hand-side you have a list of factions. And each faction has a dropdown
menue of how choices how they should be treated.
Set Fleet of 3 destroyers to guard space. (Station within Space)
Give the created SCA destroy rule to each destroyer ;)
(Two Destroyers intercepts for main destroyer is how i do it)
Pirates will get stomped pronto. and do not forget to drop a few laser towers.
Laser towers are guardian dogs, and speeds up the action of your destoyers,
and they tell your plasma turrets to shoot those mothers
IMPORTANT: The pirates mostly do NOT hack your station. They shoot
with their Plasma one of your Containers down!!!!!!!
Shouldn't be, it's all stuff I'm either producing for my own purposes, or am buying to get high mass teleportation running. In fact I was already almost full for research, the only things that were missing are Advanceed Electronics and Nividium... Now I'm back to ~ 60% resources.
So If I relocate my HQ to lets say Getsu Fune, and have the Terran Police License, can I police for the Terrans too, or does it have to be my own sector? The License text suggests the former, but I couldn't set it up in Jupiter.
Otherwise, the only thing I can figure is letting my Syn dock there, cut off all station trade, and rebuy everything manually, since it already despawned...
you can only do that in your own space... but as terrans tend to be very territorial they scan any and everyone anyway... so.. that would work as well.
a more long term approach would be to complete one of the Terrafoming Projects... something that is related to the more prominent Pirate Faction.
*cough* Terraform Scale Plate Green for SCA and they get friendly to you, no more raids on your assets *cough*
My ships do Not do Police duty. The certain 3 Destroyers per Area of station, i gave an
created "override fire" rule, where they are told to destroy all SCA, and not fire at Yaki.
Anyway...i do not want to be friendley with SCA. I need a fleet ;)
Looks like it will be faster to show the the consequence of their grave Syn at one of their bases...
I will probably rue it next time I want to go to Khaak hunting in Silent Whisper, but being locked out of game progression is worse than that
The manual response is to find the SCA ships yourself (it will always have something like "minotaur raider, omniraider, plunderer" in the name) and kill them before they can do anything.
Aside from that, you can ensure that anyone stupid enough to steal from you doesn't get away with it. By installing overpowered L-sized plasma turrets. You won't need a lot. One disc or bridge platform for each cardinal direction should provide all the coverage you should need.
Terrible.
The annoying thing is that it also keeps me from continuing the Terran plot line, as the Argon's are the only one's selling what I need for those jumps... And for some reason, research doesn't need a single Terran ware.
Because the Argon production chain is too long for my personal liking. Even if it wasn't though, building up a production chain for all the materials only pays off once the station is in the Ort Cloud, where it's storage is save from pesky pirates...
