why do you always have to portray people as idiots when they ask simple questions? if that's so annoying to you then just ignore the post! he probably read it somewhere and now wants to know what it is ... everything can be googled - then you can forbid asking questions. and attach a post that says "if you have any questions googel it".

The thing is that I go to mods and see one called more ships then one called more ships (Balance VRO). I scan the descriptions and it says VRO over and over but not what it is.

If people were just up front it would be a lot easier. For example, the VRO mod makes it clear what it's talking about.

is a cool mod. but it changes a lot in the game. it is a question of your individual playing style

Asking what does VRO mean is valid.

Although I don't use any of these particular mods myself.
I assume in this conxtext they're asking about the Ship Variation mod that has two versions provided, the vanilla version of the mod that is balanced around the vanilla settings of X4.

The second version, the VRO one which probably balances it around the changes that the Variety and Rebalance Overhaul Mod makes to the game.

Aside from the Starwars Mod VRO is probably the closest thing X4 has to a Total Conversion Mod.

Helping people to use Google to find what they're looking for on X4 is valid and chill. For instance, whenever I Google for this game I told the full "X4 Foundations" then the word I'm looking for. It helps narrow results.

Being a bully about telling people to use Google? Not only not cool but not helpful either. Spare us. No need to type something to assert your superiority in the thread while offering nothing of value.

The most popular tab is kind of messed up. It would imply VRO mod compatible mods are more popular than the VRO mod.

I totally agree with SpooDinner. A lot of mods for different games on Steam Workshop have useless descriptions and presume everyone knows what they are talking about. Another thing that gets my goat is the Steam Workshop view change logs. They are time stamped but some don't tell you what's changed - useless. Rant over.
