I pointed my Paranid Odysseus at a Xenon Defence Platform and somehow managed to get all forward facing plasma turrets to fire (3 of those + the main batteries + a bunch of smaller turrets). Sat there for a long time, but only got the hull down to 98%. The swarm of defence drones became too much after a while so I had to bail.
Guess I could try my heavy torpedo Minotaur though, but I reckon 40 of those won't be enough.
...and it worked ^^
Destroyed all the xenon and khaak defense platform in matrix #451.
But it seems that none of my ships fire on the installation :'(
Would really have wanted to get rid of this damned Khaaks...
Took me 5 Behemoth Vanguard and 5 Cerberus Sentinel. With a fighter team of 10 pegasus vanguard and 10 nemesis vanguard to clean up the scripted spawn of khaak out of thin air...
Xenon stations are easy
Just build 10 - 20 nemesis equipped with only plasma turrets and some behemoths (I got like 1 or 2 behemoths and just 5 plasma nemesis, it worked but took me a while) and it will burn down
Sometimes they manage to build a building depot and/or there is just one module left undestroyed at some % hull strength, then you have to destroy it manually with your behemoth
For defence use 10 nemesis equipped with laser guns or some random ships you entered and easy going
Or pulsar with laser
Guess laser is the best option for KI ships, but I've seen my eklipse pilot doing great with my standard equip
But I wasn't sure about the khaak station, because khaak have a powerful laser, but for KI controlled ships it is no problem at all, that's what I read in a forum
So there is no chance for just 1 small ship or even a behemoth to destroy a entire Station without any support
But many plasma cannons can do to job :)
It seems there are 2 problems with the Khaak stations:
Khaak installation - your ships will target this but seems to shoot wildly all over, with 15 minutes with several destroyers all hitting it I seemed to stall at 96% hull and could not go any further. I presume that you start doing damage but certain elements are destroyed and then no longer take any damage.
Solution - Go out of sector and have your ships target it. OOS it goes down pretty quick, they don't do much damage to cap ships either so unless a wave of fighters spawn you are pretty safe. Fighters go down super quick though so best not to waste them.
Khaak Defense stations - I could not get my ships to do much to these, I got one down to 10% but that seemed to fluke hits I think, maybe my fighter screen that died very quickly. OOS did not seem to help at all and my ships didn't seem to return any fire.
Solution - Jump in a destroyer and you can sit out of range. There is no aim assist or any indication of where to fire however if you move your mouse towards the centre of the red box you will see your guns converge. they don't have much hull so go down relatively quickly - using the impressive firepower of a rattlesnake you'll kill it after a few cooldowns.
It didn't take me long to destroy one with a single rattlesnake, though I was controlling it.
There defence stations are pretty basic. 6 turrets in total, that do next to no damage to a mk3 medium Argon shield. Their stations are bugged tho, at least for me my turrets only target them. However the turrets do take damage, they are always targeted, even after disabling them. Shooting at a disabled turret doesnt do any hull damage, so my plasma turrets never did any damage, unless they missed.
