scale plate pact data leak mission???

Hello,
I have been reading hints and flying around various systems (cannot seem to find jump gate for Scale Plate region)...trying to find a single Scale Plate station to scan for a data leak...which, of course, seems nowhere to be found. Is this a bug, or have I just not wasted enough time, flying aimlessly through space? I am trying various regions, but to no avail.

Scale Plate has no region it`s a pirate faction but they have some stations.

Locations where I found them every time, but there are some random locations too in the whole space
In Silent Witness XI and XII and the headquater is in Hewa's Twin IV

OK, so I found a Spice Factory and a Snail Farm...scanned every inch (in my ship). Can I see the data leak from the ship? Or, do I need to get out in my suit first? I cannot see any leaks...is there a particular area on the structures where I am more likely to find the leaks? - Thanks!

The leaks are random, there is a sound that plays when near them. If you hear static you are close.
Some appear as a red flashing light when in scan mode.

You don't necessarily have to "scan" the station. You can see the data leaks without being in scan mode. But you can see them way better in scan mode. Now we're talking about "purple" scan mode - not blue scan mode. So purple scan mode makes them show up a little brighter, and you can hear them from farther away.

Data leaks look like a little bit of broken steel with a glowing red orb on top of them. (not to be confused with the sparkler looking ones)

Also when scanning stations in general, you don't actually even need to be in scan mode. Just fly near each module, and it will turn purple briefly.

Awesome! Thanks for the help! I was also wondering...I went off and mined crystals at the start of "The Young Gun" scenario/start. I never started the mission with the "Bosa?" Is it too late? I am scanning in Black Hole Sun IV, but no luck so far finding the "Sparks."

That's a main storyline, and other storylines tie into it. So I'm sure you can still do it.

Found out how to "SCAN" - Your scanner range on those things is suddenly 1cm. I had to bump with my nose into it until it started to scan (bottom left on screen shows "fancy words that tell you its scanning").

Oh, and by the way, those objects can be sometimes not visible, even with 'violet scanner' active. So its mandatory to play with sound at a high enough volume to hear static. And then, the "red ball" can hide within objects and there is no 'lightning' around.

Enjoy - i had the worst of the worst experience with that mission so far.

Been flying around the SCA Pirate base for an hour now... Still cannot find that mof..... Data leak to progress the mission. Station is huge and it can be anywhere. Great game design.

Yeah, I know the location is most likely random...I foiund mine at the very top of the "Mushroom Cap/Dome" of the station...and thanks for the sound tip! I didn't see it at all, until I zeroed in with the static sound! Been able to move forward! Cheers!
