How do you sell ships?

Like the title says, how do I sell my ships? I am at a station that sells ships, but I can't work out how to sell ships.

Yes, I am out of the ship I want to sell.

from the map, select the ship a rightclick the wharf to sell it

Should me straight forward. Easy way go to map select ship, right click on ship yard and select sell ship.

Strip the ship of the module first before selling,or you will get only the price of the Ship(Hull only) alone,weird the upgraded module is not counted on selling price of the whole ship

Thanks for the hint! I captured a ship and the sales price was about 300k. Instead of selling it, I sold all installed components and stuff (and installed the cheapest versions for the mandatory components) and got 640k for that, plus an additional 73k when selling the ship.

Do I need to buy some kind of Upgrade software to sell ships?
I have a ship docked on the warf, but I still can't sell it.

nope, just select the ship you want to sell, and with the ship still selected, right click the wharf and click sell ship.

You can't be in the ship when you sell it.
