Scan Specified Module
So I have a faction mission where I'm supposed to scan a 1M6S docking bay. They are like the most common. I find them everywhere and its one of the only docking bays that actually is even appearing in the encyclopedia.

But I don't understand the mission. It doesn't seem to be asking for you to scan a specific one. Theres no direction marker. Ive gotten close to like 7 of them and have had them come up highlighted. But there doesnt seem to be a way to actually click individual modules to have them say what they are. They definitely look like the encyclopedia version though.

Anyone else have any tips on these types of missions?

i'm supposed to scan a "xenon base module". don't know where to find that...

Ya not sure how those scans are supposed to work. Seems even when you scan the right structure it doesn't seem to cooperate.

I can't seem to find it as well. And since the Encycopedia is useless. I have no idea what it looks like.

I've ventured to all the enemy bases I could find and scanned everything I could see. (Even a shipyard which was fun.) but still could not ding the xenon base module mission even though I was looking at a module with that exact name, but alas, nothing.

Matrix#451 - Xenon Defence Platform. (If you hover around a bunch of pipes near the edge, the xenon base module shows up in your right hand side display panel. It scans, but nothing happens.) Tested this in and out of my ship in scan mode.

Edit: Strange, I scanned a ship with the police scanner and the mission completed(?) Okay.

real pain when you're told to scan a Xenon station base module when they actually meant the power distribution ships

Strange... Ill need to try this. I never use the Police scanner anyways, as I thought I would need some sort of license to operate it in civilized space. I never thought of using it on the Xenon lol.

Well it's interesting you guys kind of figured out a solution to that one specifc scan module quest. However what the heck would you scan for a 1M6s docking bay?

No. I have done this (Got into the spacesuit and scanned the bay using the F key) and still the mission will not complete. I abandoned the mission and assume it is broken.
This mission is glitched. Scan a ship of the specified nation. Thats what worked for me at least

This worked for me, I was asked to "scan" a Teladi Disk Defense and spent a long time running around looking for the typical scan sparkles but found none that weren't just offering the blueprint or missions.... Then on a whim I just clicked the scan option on a nearby Teladi gas miner ship and it completed the mission?!
