How to Build Player HQ Dock?

Anyone manage to do this? I set up the dock to build, gave it a chunk of cash to buy the materials, and hired a builder to go build the thing. All the materials are now there. Thing is, the builder refuses to actually go to the dock to build it. He's assigned to the task, and I can't assign a different builder. It's been about 6 hours now and nothing has happened. What am I missing?

Is there a mission to build player hq, I hear a lot of people mentioning phq but not sure how to get it?

Hey, i had the same "issue" which is non. The builder just needs a very loooong time to fly to your HQ. I was wondering the same, tried to switch the builder and so on. Like an hour or so, then builder was suddenly at my station.

Yes there is, i found the mission while scanning a signal from a space station. its marked as mainstory or simiiar in the mission description.

Do you happen to know which station you scanned?

just give the station enough money to buy all the wares and hire a builder then wait is they I built the dock took a while for the NPC's to deliever the wares but that let me explore a bit.

Well, I assigned him about 6-8 hours ago now. It shouldn't take a day of real time playing to build a single station. No one has that kind of time.

Yeah I did that and the station has all the materials. The problem is the builder I hired hasn't shown up for 6-8 hours.

I had to build storage, which it did in space then i was able to transfer all the materials the dock needed to the storage, then 10 minutes later it had build, however i took about 100 more of each item than needed to the location in a mercury.

To start the PHQ mission you have to find it by scanning stations using scan mode(Shift+2) You'll hear interference, track that down, and it might be the PHQ mission. I won't say Will , because i cannot guarantee it will be the PHQ mission.

okay, that sounds bad. You can try to delete the dock from you building list and place it on the otherside of the station, maybe this will trigger the builder to show up? Thats what i was doing, but im not sure if that helped me at all.

Anyone else run into this problem? Still can't get the assigned builder to show up.

Cancel the build order. Try start a new build order with a different builder, or maybe buy your own builder and assign it to your station?

Ok, I figured out how to fix this. I switched the dock to the other hardpoint on the HQ and that somehow prompted the guy to show up. Not sure why that worked but it did.

ok i lay the base out, assign a builder IN ZONE.... its got about a mil extra cash than it needs... nothign is happening??? im losing builders and i own the sector... well i got ships all over and stuff so i know they are leaving and not getting blown up.

is there a way to confirm building? the tutorial just said throw the stuff together and hire builder and it happens. every time i go back into station menu it shows NAKED station again... not even like waiting to build parts i layed down.... with all the bugs in rebirth, being unable to build a station is why i actually stopped.... this is pissing me off cause it seems so simple yet nothing is happening/working. i HOPE im just stupid and missing something simple!
