I have been using this theory now for the couple of days and it realy seems to be working. Got 3 atmas in under 2 hours worth of fating. Though it doesnt work all the time, but still gives the grinding a good system to work from.

Got my first Atma about 20 minutes ago, the Archer (11:48 PM local time, so not at 10:00 that was mentioned in the theory). I wasn't really trying to get one, I was just waiting a duty and happened to get one from my 2nd FATE.

Remmember the time in the theory is japanese local time. so gotta out what the time is in japan before going farming.

Well, if I checked correctly, it would have been 5:48 AM in Japan then.

Edit: Got another Atma, the bull. First FATE in Eastern Thanalan today. Again, not at Japan's local time.

The Japan theory is bogus. The devs outright stated that the Atma drops are pure RNG.

And as for the Atma process...Going from Zenith to Atma doesn't change the stats, but you can upgrage the stats on the Atma through verious...tasks and eventually turning it into a Novus, so yes it has better stats.

Upgrading from Atma to Animus is the biggest bs ever. I'm stuck with one FATE that just won't spawn (Giant Seps) after hours of waiting... and then I have to repeat those steps 8 more times? Nuuuuuu.

I got Giant Seps to spawn in 20 minutes. :3 RNG is being nice to me with books so far.

Got another Atma yesterday, but the final piece is taking forever. I spent 6-7 hours trying to get the Crab but it just doesn't want to drop.

I checked my achievement for FATEs before I started going for Atmas, and then I'm going to check the again once I've got all the pieces so I know how many FATEs it took. So far I've done almost 500 FATEs.

Is that a lot or little? :D

It will take half as long for you to learn the coil fights than to farm all the garbage required for the Animus/Novus weapons.

That or save up soldiery and run Sycarus Tower till you get an unidentified allagan stone and get the i100 soldiery weapons, then do hunts till you upgrade it to the i110 versions.

It's funny that for all the crap you have to do for the A/Novus weapons, they're inferior to the way more easily obtained i100-i110 weapons.

Well, I don't think I have Sycarus Tower unlocked. Also, I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about hunting. :p Only hunting I've done so far has been the daily marks that reward you with a pathetic 1-2 seals each and few B marks that I've soloed while farming Atmas.
